I don't actually know if this thread belongs here, or if anyone else has made one like this xD So mods, feel free to move or delete it.

So. As the title suggests, this is a place to discuss your favourite actors and actresses. So, tell us a bit about them, post a few pictures, discuss why you like them...you never know, you may find someone else who loves them too!
 
Hehe..well,I never really got into actors/actresses...but I do like most of the movies of many old..I mean,really old...actors and actresses.

Newer, er, younger ones Id have to say...Claire Danes, Cary Elwes, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Will Smith, Natalie Portman, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, Michelle Pfiefer, Owen Wilson, Keira Knightley, Cate Blanchet...Wow, I sure can make lists :) I like them all because i think they're all really talented and thats hard to find these days in Hollywood.
 
True. I like Jonathan Rhys Myers :D & Claire Danes and Michelle Pffier (sp?) and Will Smith are good too. But for some reason I've never liked Kiera Knightley. In fact, I've always hated her xD I don't even know why. And before you say it, it's not because she got to kiss Orlando in PotC cos I odn't like him either. :rolleyes:
 
^Yeah, I understand. I've found that most people either love Keira or hate her. Like the band Taking Back Sunday...:p I don't like Orlando very much, either. I have a hard time believing his acting sometimes. I think he should be in the theater, performing Shakespeare, because thats what I always think of when I hear his voice :p

I definatly agree about Jonathan Rhys Meyers -- hehe. Clare Danes, Michelle Pfiffer, and Will Smith are really good, too, especially in Stardust and Pursuit of Happyness.

I mostly only like old actors and actresses. My favorites are Humphrey Bogart, Cary Grant, Gregory Peck, Jimmy Stewart, Ingrid Bergman, Audrey Hepburn, and Lucille Ball.

The "modern" :)p) actors and actresses I like are: Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet, Emma Thompson, Anne Hathaway, and Orlando Bloom.
 
I don't think that there are very good actors anymore, but Matt Damon was pretty cool in the Bourne Trilogy. Danny Kaye is amazing, but he is an old actor. Hugh Jackman is really good.

^^ People like actors and actresses because they look good? o_o I've always liked them for their abilities, and if they're good-looking, that's just the cherry on the cake.

But I happen to like 'new' actors/actresses more because I've never really been brought up watching old films.

I have a hard time remembering the names of modern actors for some reason..:eek:
