I agree! I want to see it again! I loved this movie but have been slightly afraid to say anything about how much I loved it because it seems that mostly people seemed to find the faults...
Welcome 1993! I did not see you post before. You never need to be afraid to post how you feel here -- everyone has a right to their opinion, so post away!

Miraz's character was amazing and funny at times, and like someone said earlier, he was more of a true villian than a simple antoginist... and his wife had more character and actually seemed to have a heart - and didn't you love at the end when she steped up and was like 'We'll go.' and Aslan promised her to have great future since she stepped up first even though she was the wife of the mad Miraz?
I very much agree! I loved everything about Miraz and the Telmarines, and I was so happy that Mrs. Miraz and the baby were going with Glozelle to the new world. That was cool.

Anyhow, I loved Edmund! He was so much more grown up, and...I dunno, I just loved him! And Lucy was great in her role, too :).
Very much agree. Skandar really shined, and Georgie was superb again. When she finally met Aslan, ran to him, and knocked him over, that was so cute -- and one of the best moments in the movie was when Lucy walked out to defend the bridge. :)

I liked that they gave Prunaprismia somewhat of a heart and. That was cool. As for Miraz he was awesome. He was evil to the core but he also had a few humorous lines as well. I have said this before and I will say it again I LOVED Edmund in this. Skandar did a great job but I mean the character of Edmund was strong and as you can tell he is my fave. I loved him in the book and they have carried him over to the big screen so well. The part where he stabs the Jadis was so cool. He finally was able to completely overcome her and I loved that they showed that. I also really like the part when he stops Peter and Caspian from fighting. It just made him really feel like he had been a king before. I loved it! Oh and I have seen it three times and plan to see it at least two more times :D

I could have done without the kiss, but I really loved PC :D The action was amazing!! The battles were beautiful (if battles can be beautiful....hmm, maybe only in movies...), i loved all of the new characters...What i like to think is: YES, it was a terrible adaptation of the book, but it was a pretty darn good adaptation of the story as a whole. (imo) :D

CANT WAIT FOR VODT!!!!!!

I didn't like the kiss myself but like you said everything else was pretty cool. I loved the part in the night raid when Peter grabbed the saddle of his horse and as it galloped off he hit the guy with his feet and then swung himself onto the horse. that was cool

ohmygoshhhh I LOVED THE MOVIE! It was the best movie i've seen so far in 2008. I'm so waiting for their next movie, The Voyage of The Dawn Treader. I hope it's as good.

I'm glad I made this thread! It seems to be filling a need that wasn't being addressed! :D

I've seen it twice now, and will hopefully see it again this weekend! Or soon, at any rate!

I LOVED the movie, and when choosing between movies to see, it's a no-brainer. Narnia. Were Narnia not out, I'd go see Indy. But it is, so it's Narnia I go see. :p And Sex and the City? >_< YUCK Sorry, I'm a girl, and will NEVER see that movie. Or watch the show. Blech. Talk about killing brain cells and all. o_O

^^ INDEED.

YES. "Good Narnian chilvary" wins over sex-pots and greed and Manolo Blahniks EVERY TIME.

Who wants to call out Peter, Edmund, or Caspian to show them a thing or two? (Or Susan and her bow paired with her stare/glare. Lol.) Or Lucy and her quiet valor. And that snazzy little dagger of hers... heehee.

Hey....

Who else thinks Reepicheep would give "Carrie and the girls" a run for their money? (and their high heels and "meaningful relationships with men")
Or...the time of their lives? HAHA. They'd probably be terrified of mice, especially Talking, feather-wearing, noble, valiant, sword-wielding Mice!! :D :D

Ok I have to admit I stumbled across Sex and the City one day on TBS and not knowing what it was watched about half an episode and Lady of the Lion's Main you are so right. I think I lost a few brain cells during that time and I can't imagine what would happen if I watched a whole movie of it. *gets dizzy and sits down* I can't even think about it. Narnian Princess I am with you 100% I will take narnian chivalry any day....and I love Edmund. Not Skander though he is an amazing actor but I love the character of Ed.

Yes, there were some deviations from the book itself. One that I thought was smashing, however, was the assasination attempt. All those crossbows firing into the bed curtains. You have to realize that crossbows inflict such nasty injuries that the Pope once passed an order forbidding Christian burial for crossbow archers killed in battle. And...my word...how many dozens of quarrels were shot into that mattress??

So what does this parallel? The Nazgul going into the Prancing Pony to hack the fellowship of the ring into itty bitty pieces in Lord of the Rings. Drawing swords and on cue having at it with the sleepers. Who turned out to be feather pillows stuffed under the blankets.

^^LOL yes, I did think it reminded me of LOTR, but could not think of why. (It's been ages since I watched the movies. )

But why forbid Christian burial? It's not their fault it causes such bad injuries. Hm.

I know! They apparently wouldn't have been content with Caspian just being dead. I guess they wanted him so mutilated he would be unrecognizable and no one would remember how good-looking he was or feel much sorry for him; they'd just want him buried and out of sight.

I was not sorry to see Miraz meet his end.

Oh, how un-Christian of me. Oh, well. The actor that played him played him fantastically. :D

Ok I know this id really out there but when Caspian was about to kill Miraz and said,
"Did you kill my father?" I couldn't help but lean over to my sister and say...
"I am your father." :p

LOL -- I loved Miraz in that whole scene, and Mrs. Miraz, too. She didn't know her husband was a murderer, and she didn't want to hurt Caspian even though he was holding a sword at her husband's throat. She and Miraz were both great additions to the film. (I know they were in the book, but they expanded their character in the film, and I really liked that.)

Did I already say that scene of Lucy guarding the bridge? Because that was also something not in the book which was just tremendous! She walks out there and draws her dagger ... that was smashing.

it really tied into what Aslan had told her about comming to him alone. she needed to stand alone against her feers and Aslan let her do that. Sure she knew Aslan was behind her but she didn't know what the army would do. I thought it was great too

Oh yes,Lucy on the bridge! That was..epic! :)

ROFL! , ~Grateful*Surrender~, Your post made me burst out laughing! I was thinking the same thing during that scene, only I was like 'Don't say 'I am your father'!'...And for some odd reason I could see Miraz saying that ROFL. I think I was the only one in the theater trying to hide a laugh under my breath at that moment!

Oh and the part with Lucy was amazing. I kind of sensed that Aslan or some huge army or something would come up behind her, but I loved the smile on her face when she pulls the little dagger out, and the confusion on Miraz's face. It was very epic, as Wunderkind said. Deffinately one of my favorite parts :). Inkspot - I loved both the 'King' and the 'Queen's preformances, and it made me feel almost sorry for Miraz's wife and her son. Although, I think I mentioned that already...:/. Oh well. :).

EDIT: Lady of the Lion's Mane - I loved that line in the book! Although it did somewhat confused me until later on.

No Christian burial..wow..thats...wow...

I noticed that!!My grandmother leaned over and said.."They've watched too much LOTRs".:p

It is nice to see that I was not the only one to think that :) it really made almost the entire scene comical for me but I couldn help it. But I think both Ben Barnes and Sergio Castellitto did a grand job with that scene. I wonder if that crossed thier minds?
