For those who liked Prince Caspian

just thinking about it makes me smile can you imagine.
Ben: Did you kill my Father?
Sergio pauses before delivering his line and gets a grin on his face : no I am your father! and then both of them crack up laughing.

^Lol, I love running across Star Wars fans. Now, I'm not sure something quite like that happened on set but I still really can't wait for blooper reels and behind-the-scenes moments on DVD. :D

It's funny because I wasn't that big on the first movie but was won over to the cast after watching the "Check the Gate" antics of this darling surrogate family. Now, since really respecting their more mature acting in PC, I not only appreciate and downright love them in the first movie but also feel so attached to the characters.

My sister and I were thinking how weird it was that although we've been watching the same cast in Harry Potter for practically the past decade, we've never felt the same deep 'watching kids grow up' attachment to the Potter trio as this Pevensie four has managed to make us feel in the past couple of years. :)

Does this relate to the thread? Well, it's all about the power of love for the new Narnia movie, I guess!

*Runs and Jumps Into Thread*
I'm tired of all this Prince Caspian hating buisness!!! I'm so glad we finally have a haters-free thread!!!! WAHOO!!!! My goodness... I honestly never thought in my wildest dreams a thread would have to be started like this.
*Shakes head*

^It is kinda sad we have to start a separate thread, isn't it? Glad you're here! Feel free to start a lively discussion, as so far it mostly consists of brief comments and then people leave. o_O

To Fifth Pevensie: yes, it relates to the thread. At least I think it does. :p

I am so glad for this thread.
I was getting depressed reading how bad people thought this movie was.
seriously, I was almost to the point of tears...:/

Aw, don't feel bad, NarniaForLife! *hugs* :) You are not alone in that! Now you can come here and feel safe and among like-minded people. :D No need to cry or despair.

Welcome, by the way! :D

No kiddin'. *heavy sigh* I actually googled for other narnia forums in my desperation to find a place to discuss the happier aspects. Happily, the amazing Lady of Lion's Mane came up with a better idea! :D

Good to hear. And perhaps people aren't getting into heavy or lively discussion right now just because they are so relieved and just want a place to smile, for now.

Btw, I can't believe I haven't thanked you yet! Then again, I wrote so many posts and kept trying to trim them down from their usual epic length until I no longer knew or cared what I'd actually ended up saying. :D Many, many, many thanks! And kudos too to your insight and initiative in recognizing a need on this forum and then addressing it.

FINALLY!! Now I can say how much I adored the movie. I loved it. I just can't even comprehend why people hate it. It blew me away. I haven't read the books (my summer goal) and so I had now idea what to expect. I was just thrilled at how much it just hooked me. I saw it opening day and I still can't stop talking about it!!

I honestly try. I really do. But -yeah. I love the movie so much that the hatred boggles my mind a bit.

YES!! I know. My twin came home from seeing it and said "It was Ok." I had to sit down... after letting that sit for a sec I said, "WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!?!" I still don't understand.

Caspian...I am your father AND your cousin. Now son, you have to understand Telmarine customs... :p

^^ AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! OMG that's hilarious!!! :p

TreeDancer and Fifth Pevensie: Same here, it's the story of my life right now, too. I saw PC. I came home. I was in a <<daze>> for hours. I dreaded going to school the next week. As one friend put it, I'm on a "Narnia high." haha. :D

And also to Fifth Pevensie: You are very welcome! I felt the same way, desperate to find people who would understand my love for the movie, with whom I could discuss it, etc. And then, after seeing there was more than one person on here like me, it just sort of hit me...a thread all our own! And so it was made. I had no idea so many people would flock here so appreciatively. Thank you for coming here! And I'm sure you're right, that once people get the initial "relieved, happy, superlative-heavy" comments out of their system, we will be able to have a lovely, lively conversation on what, exactly, made us love this movie so much. :D

Some great lines for outtakes:

Caspian: My name is Prince Caspian, you killed my father, prepare to die!
Miraz: You know, that line is really becoming trite.

Miraz (to his council): Of course Narnians don't exist! The idea of talking, dancing, and singing animals is absurd! Do you think we're in a Disney movie?

(during final battle after Aslan has awakened the trees)
Telmarine Soldier A: Look, I celebrate earth day AND I recycle paper!
Telmarine Soldier B: ..and I help plant trees and save rainforests!
Both soldiers A & B: SO PLEASE DON'T TRAMPLE US

LOL!! Those are funny :D

^^OMG you HAVE to go see it!!! like, NOW.

:D

SERIOUSLY.

Before you ruin it any more for yourself, do yourself a BIG FAVOUR and go see it!! I've seen it twice, myself. We might go again tomorrow! *dances around happily* :D :D

did your sister read the books? that may be the reason why she didn't like it so much bcuz there were changes, but i loved it! i guess it depends on how you view it.

i think it's best when people watch the movie first and then read the books. my film teacher said that books should never be made into movies the first place. but then again, the film/TV business is all about entertainment....and i was certainly entertained the 4 times i watched Prince Caspian. lol.

it does depend on the person; on another thread someone was like "I guess it comes down to this: you read the book, disliked the movie. Or you didn't read the book and loved the movie." Someone else added "or you read the book, thought it was okay, and loved the movie." And I and another person added "Or you read the book, LOVED the book, saw the movie, LOVED the movie." :D

That would be me. I love both PC the book and the movie. :p
And if books were not made into movies, the film industry would be in SERIOUS trouble. ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE SILENT FILMS.
