Give the moviemakers silly ideas!!!

Yeah, Oompa Loompas were kind of scary at least the original ones. I haven't seen the new movie, so I don't know about those.

OMG all of these suggestions are super funny! But actually I would be pretty sad to see most of them happening. I want the movie-makers to stick to the book pretty well. Which is why I'm glad Disney pulled out. :D

I think if the moviemakers really want to, they'll do worse than these suggestions. The can ruin just about any great story.

When the Dawn Treader gets attacked by the giant sea serpent have them animate it using claymation instead of CGI. You know, as a shout out to old school film making.

Yes! Ray Harryhausen movies!

And as another shout out, how about using some CGI technology to render the late, great Charlton Heston as Ramandu ( if my other suggestion, Clint Eastwood, should retire from acting that is. ) and do some audio splicing to have Roddy McDowell vocie one of the Duffers.

If they are going to do claymation, they might as well make Gumby and Pokey shipmates on the Dawn Treader.

brilliant mental image there. i can just see when the sea serpent dies and little lumps of clay flying around..

Eustace: (muttering to himself) It didn't even look real...

Back in the wild days of this thread, I even made this banner: LOL!

We had started a thread to write a draft of it, but it only got to two pages. It was called 'VotDT: Our draft for Disney' I think. We may as well just do it here or make a new thread, since Disney isn't even doing it anymore.

Ok then. I'll start:

(movie begins with a scene where Reepicheep is fighting a vast army of Oompa Loompas, before initial cast and crew intros).

(fireworks in the distance).

How's that?

Reepicheep: Dead or alive, you are coming with me.

Fighting beside him is Kermit the Frog and Gonzo.

Kermit: " Sheesh, remind me to fire my agent."

Gonzo: "You have an agent? All I have is a used car sales men who in his spare time makes oatmeal."

Sorry to interrupt the script - which looks great - ...
But do you really think it's gonna be that bad? I think they've had a lot of criticism and less subtle hints about the changes made to PC.
And now that we also have a new director, the movie might actually stick to the book. At least, I'm still hoping.

The only problem is, indeed, Ramandu's daughter. But does she actually contribute anything to the story? Please don't kill me, but I think she could also be left out. It would be weird if the romance made it into the movie, because of Susan and because it's such a weird part in the book. Like: oh, stargirl. Well, I guess I'm in love. I'll marry her. At least Caspian knew Susan longer than a few seconds. :p

Um excuse me but Ramandu's daughter is esintial becasue otherwise RILAIN FROM SILVER CHAIR WOULD NO EXIST!!!!!!! Ramandus daughter is his mother.

So no she CANNOT be left out.;)

I don't think their really speaking about what they think the movie makers will mess up with VDT, as much as what is just a funny...thing LOL.

As for leaving Stargirl out - her part is small, and akward (because of Susan) in my opinion as well, but never-the-less she is in the book and does (spoiler for SC, though I think it matters not....)
give birth to a major character in the next book.

I love this thread though, I come occasionally here, and it always makes me laugh normally :D.
