Greek Mythology

Is anybody interested in Greek mythology? I was really infatuated with all the Greek gods and goddesses in 8th grade. (Note to mods: don't move this, claiming, "it's in the wrong section, blah, blah, BLAH... etc.," as we will not only be talking about Greek mythology, but also/mostly the books, i.e., The Iliad, The Odyssey, The Aneid, etc... :))

So, those of you that like Greek mythology have you read any of the books that I mentioned above? I've read all of those in 8th grade... my favorite was probably either The Iliad, or The Odyssey.

Is there a Bomb in Iliad? :D

In all seriousness I loved the Ancient Greek myths. I even once did a study for a screenplay based on Endymion and Selene.

King Tut was an Egyptian ruler. As for the museum, I have never heard of any named after him but I suppose there always could be. :)

I'm sorry, I don't get it... my Doctor says I'm a little slow, and to not take sentences like this seriously... he also said not to respond to them, as people who make these comments are most likely just trying to confuse me. :D

(Wow, that was a little random!!!)

Really? That's great! How did your study go? Did you find out... interesting information? :)

Mites? That's all Greek to me!

As someone who knows that Heracles and Hercules are the same person, may I suggest you look up Philemon and Baucis? One of my favorites.

lol

I am in 8th grade and have an absolutely fantastic teacher by the name of Kris Tracy! She is amazing! (She is my mythology teacher!) We recently had a mythology banquet where we got to dress up as gods and goddesses and eat food! The teachers were our slaves, how funny is that! I have read all the epics that DeplorableWord mentioned and also D'aulaires book of Greek Mythology! Fantastic subject!

He purged himself of emotions as did his people to prevent their passionate anger and greed from killing themselves off.

Star Trek was a long running TV series. This was a study for a screenplay for a group that is bringing back a few episodes with a different cast as a nonprofit fanfilm consortium.

Huh, that's interesting. I wanted to mention I really like how your story was written... I can't explain really why or how it's different, but it was just really neat. Good job, you little badger, you!

Life is not easy when you're cute as a button (ask me mum!)

Thanks for the kind words. I'm so glad I came to The Dancing Lawn!
