of course,I have no clue who that is :p BUT a few people on my tumblr are starkid fans/potterheads so I do pick up a few things.

The thing about fandoms is,last time(with ben barnes),I got obsessive. like,really REALLY bad. I started fights with people,had over a million pictures...too much. After he said that he hated getting mail from 12 year olds(I was 12 then) I realised something. WHAT was I so enamoured with? He didn't do hardly ANY movies I could watch,he didn't appreciate fans,he wasn't christian! I just felt stupid for being so in love with someone who didn't really care about anything(and did too many sexy movies,yecch.) SO,I stopped reading his interviews and started listening to more Owl City and watching a lot of doctor who. I began reading Adam's blog and fell oh so much more in love with the music. I remember sitting up on my laptop at 11:30 at night crying my eyes out because I found out Adam was christian(There's a poem about it somewhere in this thread.) So,I decided I would join the Hoot Owls and Whovians and just leave all the Ben Barnesness behind. Being a hoot owl is actually a LOT more fun than being a benonite was. He does WAY more stuff I can see and listen to(actually EVERYTHING he does is G-rated) and when fans give him presents,HE TWEETS THEM BACK! ADAM CARES! Everything is completely christian and kid friendly and all the fans are impeccably sweet and nice. And doctor who isn't half bad either :)

I know I just hijacked my own thread but I feel like I need my story out there. That's why I drifted from the forum a little bit,that's why my signature no longer has Ben Barnes on it...that's why I'm no longer in the benonite thread.

BUT if you ask me a trivia question about that man I will hit the buzzer and answer faster than ANYONE on this forum! I have an extremely good memory...:D
 
Okay,so I was going through this thread and looking at all my old poems. Honestly,I haven't a CLUE who half of them are written about and some of them don't even sound like something I'd write in the first place! They look like...smart:p ANYWAY,I do recognize that some of them were written about Ben Barnes because well...when a fangirl's in love,that's her inspiration. BUT I noticed several poems were written about Adam Young and/or Owl City. They were always RIGHT there beneath everything else. Its so weird,I went reading my huge book I wrote and he was still there too...subtly.
SO here's a poem about all that. If I went on the way I was it would be a speech :D


Always there behind me
Always there beside me
always somewhere but in front of me
while I obsessed, you hid away
but now you shine in brightest day
how come I was so stupid?
Why couldn't I ever see?
all the evil he brought me
what to me did he inspire?
more like threw me to the fire
I'm as happy as a hoot owl
as I ever was before
I'm not following the sin anymore
You've brought me to the light
Now I can sleep well at night
no more dark depressing days
no more crazy obsessive ways
although you're cute,I won't go doo ditty
Because all there is
is ice cream and Owl City
 
Green Glasses


I wear green glasses,you all know
I wear green glasses,its not all show
I used to wear black,but remember they broke
so then I bought green,but not as a joke
well spurn them then! but they're not bad
actually,I believe I might start a fad
Because I've always gotten nice remarks
not laughs and chortles and rude little snarks
PLUS I have to wear so people can find me
I mean,when you came here,what did you see
first when you were searching for me?

Oh yes,Ben is still gorgeous. Just not......I just needed to fangirl over something not so...adult. Adam is basically a kid in a 25 year old's body,just goofy and innocent.

ooooh so THAT'S Darren Criss? dang girl,you're nerdier than me! Potterheads always trump Whovians...dunno why...
 
Reagan, I'm glad you didn't have to learn the dark side of personality-cult stuff by being lured into a for-real CULT. And the green-glasses poem was cute.

Yep, that's him. I am, since I'm geeking out about a third "Potter" Musical(Starkid stuff)

Believe me, Doctor Who is the new rage. All of the kids at my school talk about it. I need to watch the show. But Harry Potter will always be my #1 love.(Narnia is almost with it..)

are you referring to the fandom poem? Fandoms are a teenage thing pretty much. This whole site is a fandom. Fandoms clash,fandoms fight,fandoms can be DOUBLE fandoms. So basically its what you're a fan of that matters. I'm not even sure of the definition of a cult. But I'm just glad I'm not wasting my creativity on Ben Barnes anymore. Besides,he was a jerk! He didn't care about anything we did for him! pffft...

I got them in downtown Lawrence as shop called Wild Man Vintage. I never seem to be able to find a green pair after the ones I bought. I have to be careful with them because there's no replacements!:o

You must live in a school of NERDS! Do they say Allon-sy and Geronimo when they jump off of things? When people make them mad do they get red and say "EXTERMINATE!"? If so,I would love to go to your school :)

About a musical issue that presses me deeply...



Its not about the boy
He's just doing it for joy

The tunes don't sound the same
OKAY a little
but that doesn't make him lame

I used to be glued to nightmares
now I dream of fun fairs

have found God through the music and now are at rest
I didn't nearly die,or cut myself to death
but I used to have something that was stealing my breath
but he helped me see a better light
the GREATEST light
the one that shines the most bright

but thanks to him my soul is free
I'm safe in God's love

Ever look slightly
from the corner of you eye

Ever read a book and look up
the slightest hint of sound
it sounded like a hiccup
there's nobody home
no one but yourself
and the little plastic elephants
that sit upon the shelf
You tiptoe across the room
where are you little ghost?

No angels in the garden
no dolls in the closet
just a passing car light
and leaking drippy faucet
you think you're safe
but just for now
what about the next time
your parents go out of town????​
 
A dreamy wish....



Its 10 o clock,I still haven't slept yet
somethings keeping me up,I feel a little upset
I toss and turn under stuffed toys
when I hear the strangest noise
Its the blue box
the one I know so well
My eyes begin to swell
and I dance in my socks
A man steps out in a black bow tie
"Come on princess dry your eye!"
he yells with a whip of his hair
"Put on your dress and come downstairs!"
I find myself in a purple gown
with the sparkly frothy skirt
My hair lets itself down
I feel almost a flirt
I run downstairs into the backyard
I at once see the police box
it obviously wasn't hard
the place lit itself with fireflies
and roses materialized
the tall man asked me to dance
and that's when I realised
I'm in my Dream Land
so lets dance from night to day
before the morning dawn awakes
and takes this dream away...

When prom come's round I'll have to hide
because then they'll want me for their bride
I suppose its rather fun,with these people as your army

I like the new ones! :D My favorites of the new ones are the latest one, as well as the one from Doctor Who and personal experience. ;):D
