To make a long story short, Chronicles of Narnia is about kids who save a world and Harry Potter is about a kid that saves himself and a school of magic. That doesn't mean it's wrong to defend yourself or even your alma mater, but my greater love goes to to the ones that give of themselves for the greater good, and those are Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter.
Also, Harry Potter triumphs by looking for some sort of inner strength. The Pevensies triumph by surrendering their willfulness and personal agendas to Aslan who, in turn, empowers them and becomes their inner strength. If I had some sort of super powers, I suppose I could go out there like some sort of Superman and try to whack Lex Luthor with my X-Ray vision and ability to leap tall buildings with a single bound. But to be a frightened teen who has to trust a power he does not understand and walk willingly into almost certain death...I don't know...I just admire ordinary kids who have extraordinary faith over folks with cheat codes to the game of nature. HP is a nice kid, Peter, Edmund, Susan and Lucy are apostles. No comparison.
