Ashley had been watching them for a long while. So that's her game, she thought, the ol' user-toy to get back at boy. Not in this lifetime babe.
She found where Jackson's locker was. "Can I talk to you?" She asked him.
"Sure," he said putting on his Fox hoodie.
"I don't think you have to worry about Kit liking you anymore."
"What?"
"She's, as of right now, with Josh."
"That jerk that thinks he's God?"
"Yeah. I just saw them "nuzzle" as they went to his car. She's trying to get you jealous ya know, dont fall for it."
Jackson shook his head, "That's lame."
"I know, it is. Just think if you did go out with her, she'll pull more crap like that. Its never fair."
"Yeah, thanks for telling me. I was about to go off the deep end. Thanks for the heads up."
"No problem, well," she batted her eyelashes, "see ya around." She waved and walked to her next class.
Jackson slammed his locker, then went the opposite way of Ashley, and went to his next class. It was an art class, of all things. With his credits he had completed in New York he had enough room for one more class. He stank at drawing, but was fair in printmaking. So he took the art class. When he entered he saw Mik. Crap.
Having only sat down just then, Mik had heard everything Ashley and Jackson said. Interesting, she thought. There were no more seats left for Jackson, so she pulled a stool next to her, "Sit Pretty Boy."
Grudging it, he sat next to her. "Can ya stop calling me that."
"Why, it fits though."
"Fine then, you're Crazy Girl."
"Whatever fits."
Their first assignment was to draw the person next to you and how you saw them. For Mik it was easy to draw, not so much for Jackson. He felt like if he showed her his drawing she'd punch him, it was so bad.
"Look," she said, "keep your eyes mostly on what you're drawing, only glance at the paper scarcly. You have a steady enough hand."
Following her advice the drawing turned out pretty well...not amazing, but not so bad. "Here," he showed her. His focus was mostly her eyes and mouth. Though her eyes were bigger than proportions and her nose wasn't exaclt right, everything else took a likeness of her.
"I like it," she said allowing a smile, "here's yours."
It was the most beautiful drawing he had ever seen. She had capyured his profile perfcetly, and yet added something else. A softness that in real life you wouldn't see. "Woa wow," he said as he held it. "That's...amazing."
"Thanks," she said and shrugged, "you play guitar right?"
"Yeah, both acustic and electric. Why?"
"I've been trying to learn on my own, I really suck. If it's no trouble do you mind giving me a few pointers? I can help you ace this class, drawing and stuff, in return."
"Alright," he shrugged, "Ugh it seems after school I'm free so...ugh meet you at your house I guess?"
"Yeah," she said handing him a piece of paper, "here's my adress."
"You dont live too far from me. Nice I get to save gas."
When class ended Mik was first to walk out of the door. "See ya Pretty Boy." She waved back.
"See ya," he said, "Crazy Girl," he murmmered.
