Skye's mom came from the kitchen. "Hi, I'm Rachel from Skye's school," she said, introducing herself.

Kit still on the phone waiting for her to pick up.

"Hello Rachel. What a pretty name. Would you like some cookies?" Skye's mom asked hugging Skye. Skye nodded and set her bag on the floor.

"Sure... but I think my cell's ringing. Excuse me please," she said, running outside. "Hello?"

Skye got out plates while she waited for Rachel.

 

[Gentle Voice]

" Reach it's me Kit I need to tell you something well mostly everyone," she told her, with a sigh " Were is it safe to talk?," she asked.

"Uh, sure, but I might have to leave in a bit. I'm over at a friend's," she explained.

 

[Gentle Voice]

" Who's house are you over at?," she asked, looking at Josh who was still there not fair away from her.

"I'm at Skye's. I stopped there before going home to work on my homework," she told her.

 

[Gentle Voice]

" OK cool she need to hear this to do you have a speaker on your phone?," she asked.

"Okay, sure, I'll put it on speaker." Rachel called to Skye. "Hey, Kit wants to tell us something," she told her.

Skye went over to her. "Hey Kit. What's up?"

 

[Gentle Voice]

" Hey Skye hm I need to tell you, guys something about me," she told them, with a sigh then Explained about her father leaving her all his money and why she wanted to be alone with Josh.

Skye listened intently and when Kit was done talking just stood there silently processing everything Kit had said.

 

[Gentle Voice]

" Can you understand were I was going? because you two are like my only friends at school," she told them, with a sigh.

Skye sighed. "Kit, I still think the whole Josh thing isn't a good idea. But it's your life. As to the money thing. Of course we like you even if you're rich. As long as the money doesn't go to your head."

"I agree," Rachel put in. "We like you for who you are and we don't care about whether you're rich or not."

 

[Gentle Voice]

She laughed " No I'm not going out with Josh I just had to get him way from Ash some way another you know?," she told her " How am I tell Jackson I don't think wants to talk to me," she told her, with a sigh.

"I think he's just looking for a friend right now. I mean, he's just moved here and everything... it might just be a shock. Give it some time," she answered.
