{ We can change the idea of this meeting being after school; give Brendan a scene to play NOW. }

"I don't know how much history you have studied, Brendan," said Mrs. Lewiston in tones only sightly condescending; "but every true scholar of history knows that the REASON why World War Two began, was because France and the other Allied nations were maintaining such large armed forces. If they had had the boldness to take the first step, to disarm themselves completely FIRST, all that madness of war would have been avoided.

"Here at Smoky Lake East, we don't have nations facing nations; but the concept of waging peace applies the same way to individuals. I accept your word that you DIDN'T actually fight those other boys; but I need you to work with me to PREVENT fights...."

Duly noting the absolute absurdness of Mrs. Lewiston's accusations, and as well as minding his own tongue, Brendan replied,

"Of course Ma'am. I have no intention of starting any fights. I do promise I will aid you in preventing future occurences not only between myself and others, but also those between others not related to me. I am sorry, that todays event escalated as much as it did."

Mrs. Lewiston beamed at him; Brendan could tell that her intentions were far better than her logic. "Thank you, Brendan. Just remember always that it takes two to fight."

Brendan, a stoic native Minnesotan, nodded at the Principal.
"If that will be all Ma'am, I will head to my 5th period class?"

The boy calling himself Leopard Man would not normally speak to the boys who had confronted Brendan; but today, each of them had found someone who would stand up to them, and bullies of all colors can agree that they don't like facing a fearless adversary. Now, they had things to discuss...

ooc: Mayhaps a chance encounter between the boys in the hallway? Something about the eyes just showed a little intrigue..

Absalutly dreading trig, Kim walked in to Mr. Burrel's math class. He was a nice enough teacher, a little zaney in the southern way, but was a fine human being over all. She had heard though that he was so scatter brained that understanding his method of math was difficult.

Oh well...

She sat in front of the room, being that her ADHD would cause her not to pay attension if she sat anywhere further back, and took a short little nap, day dreaming about her stories. The many...many...many...many stories she came up with. One in paticular she rested on, and played out two scenes of her characters. One scene with the characters being melodramcitic, the other them being completly detached from themselves and others.

Notice this, Aslan's Messenger--

Though you're not on right now, you can have your character remember later that this DID happen.

Alipang ate lunch as planned with his new friend Samuel Ashford. The cafeteria was crowded on this lunch shift. When they saw a girl who seemed to be having a hard time finding a spot, Sammy gallantly got out of his seat, and stuffed the last of his food into his mouth while standing up. Alipang in turn shifted to make it a little easier for Sammy. The girl took the offered place, thanking Sammy. She gave her name as Sarah.

I am a bit bored and feeling slightly disconected with the forum due to absenses with shcool and such and would be interested in joining considering i have a history of homeschooling. If i i joined would people be offended if i didnt follow read the 40 pages and if i disapeered when shcool gets to hectic?

Ferny, the easy out for you is to choose ONE of the more active contributors to this thread, pretend to be a friend of THAT person's character, and learn things gradually as your friend learns them. But you will be made aware of it if you contradict the already-established "facts." For example, our school colors are blue and gray; you can't suddenly say that they are chartreuse and magenta.

Ferny, maybe you could be a foreign student like Aravis Yanes' character. From any country you like; then you would have an "excuse" not to know all that's going on. You would, however, at least know that you are in the town of Smoky Lake, Virginia.

ok. i will try that...

A bright and cheery swedish lady walked into the shcool office where they handled the admissions. Walking a short distance behind her daughter, an introverted blond girl who, with her family, had just moved into the country.
In a slightly accented form of english, her mother talked with the admissions counselor and signed some forms.
Alina (me) looked distrustfully at the admissions counselor who sat secretary-like behind the desk. After being handed her course schedual, she shoved it in her pocket and readjusted the leprechon-green backpack that was tight around her shoulders.
After hugging her mom goodbye, Alina sauntered down the hallway towards her first class.

Aravis Yanes, assume Fernshire Hobbit's post to be jumping back in time, so her character Alina can be here. But with that done, it is now roughly "after lunch"--fifth period, most likely.

OOC: thanks!!!
Suri walked throw the hall she had to go now to her Gym class... "I must get ready for Gym" she said to herself.
