Alipang was just re-entering the cafeteria from one side as Dan and Chilena re-entered it from the other.
"Chilena! I can relieve your worries on one subject! I just got acquainted with the older sister of our mystery man Steve LeMarque. Her name is Cindy, and she assures me that her brother is no worse or weirder than anyone else's brother. Steve IS attracted to you, but you can't blame him for that. Cindy said he's just frustrated at being turned down by other girls before now; but she also says he wouldn't do anything out of line."
