She nodded " Ok let me put that down," she told him, pulling out her paper " I been looking him up so I think I'm good so far," she told him, writing down something.
 
Alipang was a little bit startled that she had brought school notes along on their walk to her thinking tree; but he was not about to _discourage_ her from trying to do well in school.
 
He laughed. "Scout's honor, sweets, I wasn't spacing out!"--and he kissed her cheek while still laughing. "I was just kind of impressed at you bringing school notes along on our walk to your thinking tree!"
 
She laughed " Oh, this yeah, I don't want to get in trouble because I didn't do it but I was doing something else though," she told him,putting her back in his chest.
 
"He'll be pleased. He must be feeling rotten about being sick so long. But I'm your witness that you haven't been dating anyone else while he's been laid up."
 
Something came over Alipang that moment, causing him to throw his arms around Chilena, hugging her and kissing her and rubbing noses with her and patting her back and giving her his thumb to play with in her old manner going back to their childhood.
 
"Only on one condition," he replied in his fake-serious voice. "They have to be water-vapor clouds. No ammonia-methane-whatever clouds from Jupiter or the other gas-giant planets."
 
She hit him on his arm " Ow what kind of arm do you have?," she asked, shaking her hands " You so weird Al come one and watch the clouds with me like old times," she told him
 
"I already am watching them, sweets. The one really big one that way looks like the wood carving I made for you four months after we first met."

She nodded " Yeah, I remember we use to hate each other I'm glad we good friends," she told him, placing her arms under her head.
