Hopes for VDT....for people anticipating the release on DECEMBER 10 2010

no its half sorted now...lol...(dont ya love computers when they play up)...lol...but it has doubled up on my thread now but put my name back on thread starter....hmmm....weird..lol

Yea, if there's a thread that you created and it's appearing within another thread, then there was already an existing thread before you created yours and the mods merged it. Usually they won't tell you, because it's not deletion.
 
Sorry! iMerged the two threads!

Here are my hopes for VDT:

1. I hope the characters will be true to their books selves.
2. I hope it's like a good pirate/adventure movie. I don't care if they add lots of action that wasn't necessarily in the book -- that will be good if they do.
3. I hope they will leave in the scene with Aslan at the end of the book talking about having his other name i our world -- and I hope maybe there will be more of Aslan throughout than what is in the book.
4. I hope the dragon looks so awesome!!!! And the sea serpent.
5. I hope the Duffers look awesome, too.
6. I hope they expand the romance with RD and Caspian a little bit from the book. Maybe we'll see the wedding or something.
 
AHHH...cheers guys....i was freekin out that my computer was skitzing out on me again...lol....ahh didnt know u could merge thread..(with mod abilitys) cool....yes i hope its gonna keep the bit at the end with aslan having anothr name in our world....:)

im agreed with this...it would be nice to see it expand....but i have a feeling if they do they will probly leave a wedding scean till the begining of the silver chair.....i dunno...just what i rekon theyd do
 
I want the Narnia magic to still be there. I can live with Susan kissing Caspian in PC. I don't want it to lose too much of the child-like quality and magic. There are some things I'd like from the book to be in the movie, like the part where everyone is on the Dawn Treader and their in total darkness and Aslan sings them back into the light. But, I realize they can't have too many religious elements in there without people protesting, which is stupid.

If they do a wedding scene, I doubt they would wait until SC. Mainly because, they'd HAVE to show some kind of scene when rilian is young, and putting the wedding in there would not only cramp the movie, but also be a little confusing...so, if they do a wedding scene, I would imagine they'd stick it at the end, either as the last scene or close to the last scene, or even in the credits.

they have to have the darkness, though. i think they'll do that scene really scary, and then it will be so beautiful when aslan leads them out ... i hope they'll do that well, and it won't seem that "religious."
 
I look forward to the dark island scene too. Though if it's too scary, it might put off some families from watching it, like PC did with its darkness and more adult themes.

funny...it seems we all want to see the nightmare island scene.......i cant wait to see the magitions house and the duffers.......i hope they keep tru to th book in that scene and make the house realy beautiful like its described
 
Yah, that should be very interesting ... has anyone seen the preview for Tim Burton's live-action Alice in WonderLand? I imagine the house like something out of that ... somehow ...
 
the nightmare island or the house?.....why leave it out...im just curiouse.....(the island i can imagin could be scary for children..) so i hope in that sense they keep it to a resonable level that kids wont get nightmares from that scene :)

The nightmare island. I don't know, but I guess partly because I think it would be hard to do. I mean, how is it frightening if you're not there? Usually one person's nightmares wouldn't bother another person.
