How did you discover Narnia?

I found the books through the advise of a friend when I was six,and read each one 3 times through.:p
 
I came back from my grandparents and many of my friends were talking about the LWW movie. I had of coruse had heard of Narnia before hand but never got in to it, I had watched The Silver Chair and LWW from BBC and my sister had told me about HHB and LWW books and C.S. Lewis. Then last year I got into it because my nick name was Lauar Lu[Lu standing for Lucy] Because I looked like Lucy Pevenise, my friend's dad called me that. Now it is ' Narnian' and Narnia girl. :D I love it that much and have read it over and over and over all the books :D
 
My Mum bought me MN 2 years ago when I was 11, and she said I might like it. So I read it, loved it, read the other 6..and yeah..ever since then, I've been a Narnia Freaket :cool:
 
I opened the wardrobe... LOLZ! No, my brother told me about the movie and what it was about and stuff. I wanted to read the books so I got them and read them and ended up loving them!
 
When I was 5 or 6 I asked my mom if there was homework for the summer, and she said for her school there was. Then I asked her what type of homework, and she said reading (for her school). I asked her what she had to read, and she said "The Chronicles of Narnia." I asked her what was the "Chroles of Naria" and she just but me the books. But I didn't read them till my 4th grade made us read them. And I was the only one in my class who knew what Narnia was:eek:
 
I stumbled upon a load of rolled up papers and looked up and there was a funny looking faun named mr. tumnus(that was actually really good-looking) that helped me up and gave me a book. it was the lion the witch and the wardrobe and i read it.
 
An old friend of mine told me about the books and what they were about.I read the books and loved them,and Narnia has been a part of my life ever since.But it was when I saw the movie I got REALLY obsessed :D
 
Years ago my father was a program director of the national television in my country and the television have just bought the rights of the BBC Narnia series. The publisher of the books gave them a present to dad and he gave them to me. I loved'em immediately:)
 
Actually a member of a church I had previously pastored loaned me her set of Narnia books while we were visiting for a couple of weeks after her husband had gone home to be with the Lord. I was going through some rough times then and they really helped me get my focus back on the Lord.
 
I have a younger sister named Tammi. When we were kids we would pretend that I was Doctor Who and she was the "granddaughter" who was the Doctor's first adventure companion. It was Tammi who first persuaded me to read the Chronicles of Narnia.

When I first saw the trailers for The Lion, The Whitch, And The Wardrobe, I thought the movie looked stupid, Then I sarted wanting to see the movie. My teacher told me to read the books before seeing the movie and I did. So it was my teacher who got me into Narnia.:)

when my mum was little she read them and recomended them to me.
 
Last year (2005) in May I bought a gaming magazine and it had a part of games of the movies and they mentioned the game of Chronicles of Narnia and what it was about, then months later like in November I was searching the internet and found something about the movie and I think I remembered about the article on the game, so I went to the website of the film, then I searched the Internet for Narnia Forums abd found this forums and joined. Since then I bought a book that contains all 7 of the books, I have seen the movie, I have read The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Prince Caspian and the first chapter of The Voyage of Dawn Threader but stopped but I am planing on starting to read the books again and also I am expecting to receive The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe Extended Edition for Christmas.

I watched the movie, and then I searched for Narnia things, and found this great place. Now I am a member, and I finished recently reading all of the books in the Chronicles of Narnia.:D
 
I wish I could say that I discoverd narnia through a wardrobe or some other way,with rings,or a door in a school,but of course,that is'nt true. haha.
I found out about narnia when I was a little child. I had this little cartoon tape I would watch of LWW,and there is where I first knew about narnia.But then,as I grew up,I started to get curious if there were more than just that narnia story; for I had discoverd at my aunt's house the the Chronicles of Narnia book(with all the 7 books in one,but I did'nt know that at the time).It was a huge book,and I was pondering "The story could'nt of been that big? The tape definitely was'nt." Then,it was there I found out that there were 7 stories of narnia.I was like "hhmm,that's neat" but never bothered to read them,but the cartoon and the world of narnia always stuck in my head. Then,the big movie came out,and I thought "Hey,I should go and see it." I once again fell in love with the whole world and magic of narnia;it was then that I was greatly persuaded to read the books. I got them for my b-day last year,and read them all in one month,caused I love them so much.Any chance I got to read them,I would. Now,my heart is more open to that world and c.s. lewis' imagination then I have ever been.

I was read some of the books as a child and liked them very much, but unlike most, they did not really cross my mind again until the movie came out. Since I got the video game for Christmas, my mom said that I should read the book. I did a liked it tons. When I saw the movie, it was amazing... a light in a dark place because I had been feeling kind of depressed lately... I didn't want it to end! Thus, I became obsessed and I still LOOOOVVVVEEEE it! God really reached me through it! :D
 
My little cousins (ages 8 and 5) had just finished The Horse & His Boy, they then came and told me this wild story about a prince who was in a battle and got hung up on a telephone pole and while he was hanging a huge lion turned him into a goat (hahaha). Since then I became intersted in reading the series and finally started them a couple months later. That was about 4-5 yrs. ago and I have lost count of how many times I read them. :)
 
My 6th grade Writing teacher let us take out books from her shelf. I saw LWW and decided to try it. I loved it, and realized that we had a wardrobe up in the then unfurbished attic. I stepped into it, and here I am!:)
