you could say too:lieke said:we, in The Netherlands, often use your "Happy Birthday" song to, just sing it in English.
Sometimes (especially with small children) we sing this:

this can be correctly translated as "Warm Greetings!"
as to traditions.. there usually is a very big feast with lots of food. usually it's a get together for family and friends.
common food preparations to be seen in a birthday party consists of Lechon Baboy (Roasted Pig), Spaghetti, Fried Chicken and Ice Cream (for dessert). Of course there would be others of different varieties but these are the main preparations..
