" Dave stop that!," she told him, pulling her hand way " I don't want you two to fight about something silly," she told him, crossing her arms.

She took his hand again " No I didn't mean this kiss Dave," she told him, with a smile " I mean oh, never mind," she told him, pulling him close to her.

"oh really?" Laurel remarked cooly as she leaned against at tree. Her lips twisted up in a smirk and her teal eyes held something like amusment in them " By the way the term is "tom boy". If you're going call others names- I suggest you make sure you know the right one and make sure it's not a complement. I strive to be tomboy. Listen, I don't know what kinda ideal childhood you grew up with - but I know for a fact I won't get along with any of you guys."

She crossed her arms over her chest and swung her head to get the bangs out of her face. " It's not you personally, it's just I never had time to be a kid. Enjoy it while you can, because the real word sure isn't a playground."

With that Laurel kicked off the tree and began walking forward. She then stopped and turned around slightly, meeting Dave's angry gaze with her own steady cool one. " By the way if you want to pick a fight I suggest you do it with someone else who's not a city girl or from the navy. You'd be on the ground with in ten seconds flat if you tried to hit me. "

She rolled her eyes " Dave I mean being love birds I mean it's not a big deal if we in love with each outher we been good friends since we where little and if she doesn't like it oh, well," she told him, with a sigh.

She trun around to face him placing both hands on his face " Dave you being to hard on yourself don't worry about Ok?," she told him, with a smile " Give it time she was see this is real," she told him, brushing his cheek with her thumb.

" What is that?," she asked, taking his hand now " All right fine we just hold hands for now," she told him, with a sigh.

Laurel was taken back by what Dave had said to her, but she did find a new found aprication. A smirk found it's way to her lips 'so the boy's got guts, after all.' she mused.

"Hey! Dave, right?" she called out trying to get his attention. " Those were some pretty tough words, but you're right words mean nothing. So how about we settle this like "boys" should." She looked around and stopped a clearing not to far off. " How about a friendly spar, over there?"

Before he could even reply she walked over and slipped off her tan jacket so she was just standing in a the black tank-top, skirt, shorts and boots. Her arms were lean and well toned as well was the musseles in her back. She wasn't bulky, but deffianly had an atheletic built. She slid off a spar hair tie she hand looped around her wrist and used it to tie her hair back.

Laurel looked back at him, her body was easy going but her eyes ( which never lied) where siencer. " If I can advoid it, I don't like bad blood between me and others - but since I guess we won't see eye to eye this is the only way I can think of. It's your choice, and by the way I wasn't lying."

She then noticed the new creature and bowed at the waist. " I"m sorry of the inconvince , but is it all right if we get this out of the way sir?"

She rubbing her hand " David I-I don't know if we should do anything," she told him, slowly walking up to him hold his finger.

Laurel paused for a moment, as if thinking something over, and then removed her black leather wrist cuff, necklace and boots.

'I don't want to hurt him.' she told herself as she placed them a side and sat on a rock to pull off her knee high socks. 'I want to make this as much as a fair fight as I can make it.'

that was all it took to make Laurel snap. "ALLRIGHT THAT IS IT?!" she yelled as she stomped over to him. "For your information yes, I do know I'm a girl- but i'm sick of being treat like some poor deffenless creature just because I AM one! And another thing, I do not go around saything things just for the sake of saying something. When I say something, it's because I mean it and that I can back it up! Also I would not laugh, sneer, mock or call you names if you didn't want to fight me! I would respect that.

The only reason I offered is because I want to get this tiff over and done with, and I know that sooner or later our tempers will get the better of us and this whole thing will turn into a disaster." With her temper flaring words kept comming from her mouth before she could even notice what she was saying.

" For god's sake do you know how much I envy all of you here?! You have homes that would never change each month, friends that you will always see, moms and dad who are always there! I would kill for that! you can beleive in dreams, in hope, I only wish I could! I really do, but the truth is I can't! I DIDN'T ASKED TO BE BORN INTO SOMETHING LIKE THIS! I DIDN"T ASK FOR MY WHOLE LIFE TO BE LIKE THIS!"

Then she did the only thing her mind could think of..... Run.

She didn't see where she was going, she didn't even know where -but feeling of the earth under feet and the air whipping through her hair woke something in her,- it felt right, she felt alive. And the urge to run grew stronger. Her speed picked up, but she was so gracefull leaping over rocks and zipping through trees - she almost looked like a nymph or some goddess of nature.

Laurel finally spotted at a small stream and lightly came to a stop at the bank. She shoulders trembled and she brought her hands up to face. She felt it - something was akwaken in her. there was some thing about this place at was loosing the chains the kept everything she wanted locked up.

"Why is this happening now?" She whispred before taking off again.

"What, didn't you yell at me enough already?" Laurel asked trying sound strong, but her voice betrayed her. She didn't look up at him. She turned away from him and stepped back to the stream's bank again before sitting down and letting her legs dangle in the water.

- Yes, I told you a ton of things. Maybe half of them were true. - He admitted. He walked toward her, and stood up, beside her, though she was sitting. He doubted whether he should sit or not. - Listen, I'm not used to deal with people like you. I'm british, what can i say? I've been taught to be civilized, or whatever, and if I use violence, it must be for good. - He remembered the feeling he had when he wanted to punch her face. - You really freak me out. I didn't get why you behave that way. then, you just spit it out and make me feel like a funky crap. I hope you're glad for it. - David saw her half smiling. - You said my words were pretty tough. You're right, they were tough even to myself. I'm... I apoligize, okay? You may take my apologies or not, it's your bussiness, but I'll try to calm my poor conscience, who's been like screaming because of you. -
He stared at the clean, glistening water.
- Your eyes never lie, Laurel. - David told her. - I admire that of you. And the fact that you always reply, and you never give up... excepting when you started run--- anyway, you never give up. Even though you know this is real, you still keep on your mind this is a stupid dream. Well, you dno't give up on that either, but it's wrong. This is real. And I don't think i can go back home leaving you here. I would never let that happen. Oh, and I never meant to say you're a "girl" in a mean way. Girls and boys are pretty much alike, excepting the obvious differences. But one can't live without each other. That's the reason. -
She didn't move. He died to know what she was thinking.
- And well... - he sighed. - I don't think you should envy me. My mother's divorced. She's pretty much a woman with a weird character. But she's amazing. You might remind me a lil bit of her. I never see dad. He just forgot me, but that's not a reason I go on fighting everybody, because... as i don't have his love, i try to create my own and give it to the others. It's not easy, I tell you. It'll never be easy. You just noticed how harsh i exploded with you. Well, I wasn't feeling love in that moment - He grimaced funnily. - And Tom and Katie are my only bests friends. Joy's been my girl since a long time... but things are weird now. Pretty much like a rutine... - He was opening his heart... he had to be careful.
- Anyway... just... wanted you back. I'd really apreciatte if you culd come back with us. We need you. You were brought here with some purpose. I take back what i said about "I don't know why Aslan would mind you" becasue, if I was Him, I wouldn't think it twice about making you come here to rescue his family, Narnia. -
He sighed, trembling, but he felt relieved.
- OKay, that's it. -
He walked slowly back, with the little hope she might at least heard one of his words.

(i'm here XD.)

With out really thinking , or even noticeing that she moved, Laurel reached back and grapped the back of his shirt lightly. She was still sitting down - facing the other way, but there was just a small glimmer of a smile on her face.

"Dave..." Laurel said softly " Thank-you."
