Introduction Thread II

Now that the summer is over and I back at school (not working my tail off at Cracker Barrel), I will be able to resume my duties as a TDL newbie Greeter and I will start with saying that I welcome all you who have joined since last I was on here and are still visiting the thread.

I'm new. I am the Spanish Inquisition. I'll bet you didn't expect me, eh? Right then, let me introduce meself.......

I adore the Narnia books. I despise the Narnia movies. I do not think William whats-his-face is hot. I think the girl who plays Lucy is a twerp.

My all time favorite books are:
The Count of Monte Cristo
Ender's Game
Animal Farm

I am very strange and I hate almost everything. Except Monty Python, books about death, and the Sweeney Todd Soundtrack. And Phantom of the Opera.

I'm crazy....but I think I'm ok.

'Nother noob checking in to prove she's not a bot. :)

My name's Meg, I'm an advocate of publication-order reading, I'm (finally) starting my last year of undergraduate school, and I'm probably going to end up being one of those crazy cat-ladies.

Hi, all! *waves*

Hi, Spanish Inquisition. Hi Meg. Welcome to TDL!
I'm just wondering, is there a reason you hate everything, SI? (Do you mind if I call you that?) 'cuz I love almost everything. I guess we're just knid of different that way. :p

Hey everyone! I am new, of course :p
I guess I should introduce myself :D I'm Oana :)
I've seen the movies and I've just read the books. I totally LOVE the Narnia books and I like veeeery much C. S. Lewis. Hmm...I think Lewis would be my second favorite author right after his friend J. R. R. Tolkien (of course I'm completely in love with Lord of the Rings)
Hmm... what else can I say? I love every good thing and most of all, I love God :D

Oh yeah, I like this site, I'm glad I've found it!

Welcome, Dear Heart! Long, long before your time, there was a love song titled "Dear Heart, Wish You Were Here." Well, no one on this forum will sing that song now, because you ARE here! :)

Actual name Oana: that's a new one to me, though I guess its pronunciation would be close to Spanish Juana. Are you perhaps a Native Hawaiian?

:D Hehehe! Yeah, I'm here at last! :p
Actually I'm from Romania :p And I was expecting you to say my name was kinda strange. It is a Romanian name but it comes from the Hebrew - Yoḥannah.
It is a little hard to explain you how to pronounce it. It sounds more like "wanna". But Juana is quite close too :P

Hullo all!

I've been a Narnia fan since I first read the books, and I thought I was the smartest seven-year-old ever when I realized that maybe Lewis meant Aslan to be a stand-in for Jesus (imagine my distress when I realized lots of other people had already reached that conclusion!). I like to read the series in internal chronological order, usually reading The Horse and His Boy before the last few bits of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, but I think they're readable any which way. My favorite character is Lucy, although lately Eustace has been growing on me.

I start school up again in a few weeks, but in the meantime it'll be nice to spend time discussing the books with people who've read them all (and aren't relying on the movies!).
