Introduction Thread II

Hello everyone, my name is Amanda. Big fan of the Narnia Chronicles ;D

Hello all, my name is Pieter.

I'm probably older than most here, but I'm still a big fan of Narnia. :)

Hi, I'm new here, I'm Cara. I was given my first hint of Narnia by my grandmother, but the cover of her old copy of Dawn Treader scared me and five is too young to try and read your dad's copy of The Magician's Nephew by yourself, no matter how highly you think of your own reading skills, so I actually didn't start reading Narnia until I happened upon Horse and His Boy in fourth grade (not knowing it was part of the series that was hidden in a box in my closet...) and found myself devouring the rest of the series within the next month. I've been a fan ever since. (The story starts as rather sacrilegious, but I hope my continued love for the series makes up for that ;) )
That's probably a bit much for a simple introduction, but I've always been rather amused that a series I find so dear to my heart was hidden away, unread, in a closet for a good four years of my life.

Welcome to the three of you. I hope you have lots of fun here. If you get a chance come join us down in dufferland. We have lots of fun there and you can be as goofy as you chose. If your bend runs more toward debate than we have got that too (Socratic Club etc.) If you like writing then go to the Professor's Writing Club. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Wow, now I feel like a tour guide.

Heeeey, y'all! Welcome to the boards! Have fun, just remember to tip your cap to the Cook, Amy, and ask one of our unicycle masters for some tips (a high honor for some tribes in Africa). Do that, and you'll do just fine. =D

If any new arrival sees this entry, be it known to you that the Moderators are not the only adults on this forum! I am an adult at least on even-numbered days (which makes it weird being a grandfather on those odd-numbered days).

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I love all of the books and the movies are good. I found out about this sight from my good friend (Lioness_of_God) so i thought i would join. :)

Yo.
I'm... BritishHobo....

Welcome you two.

I think that half of us on here (at least those who post frequently) are in varying stages of adulthood, CF. Some of the Mods are younger than me. How do your grandkids take the odd-numbered days, CF?

Welcome to TDL (The Dancing Lawn), BritishHobo :D! Hope you enjoy it here and find some wonderful friends. If you need anyone to make your banner for your signature or an avatar for your profile, I'd recommend dayhawk68 because she's really good at making those things; I can also make a banner for you, if you want :). In order to have those things, you have to have 10 posts in the forums so start posting :p.

Note that posts in Tea with Mr. Tumnus, Cast & Crew discussions, and the Land of Duffers don't count. However, if I were a new member, I'd head over to the Land of Duffers anyway... it's just where it's at. To quote Holyboy: "After posting in the philosohpical discussion threads a couple times and getting burned by all the smart people, I retreated to the Land of Duffers, and have remained there to this day."

Nice quote. Who's the smartest now?
