"Of course she can, I have more than enough gowns," Bella said, flapping her hand.
Maybe i should give them all away if I only have a month... she thought to herself.

"Tell me, Hildegard, what do the common folk say? That all royals are spoiled and rotten? That we don't care and are ungiving towards others?"

Hildegrd sat on a stool.
"Oh, that just local gossip, dear. No, what they really say is that you and your family have no sense of moral value...like you are barbarians. Of course, being inside the circle, I know it isn't true. But, they say it is no wonder you are marrying Prince Dirk....a shallow wife for a shallow husband."
Hildegard blushed at this, she was tactful, but did not like to say the truth because she knew it could hurt.

"I suppose he is shallow. And, at times, I can be slightly shallow." Bella said thoughtfully.
"But Moral Value? what on earth?" Bella laughed.
"It's puzzling though.. what have we ever done that is below moral standards? Hmm.. This puzzles me Hildegard."

By now, Hildegard had tears in her old eyes.

Her eyes were blazing with questions, sadness and anger.

She left the tower, looking for her father.
