Way back in the Fifties there was a children's TV cartoon called "Crusader Rabbit." The lagomorphic hero rides a horse and has a tiger named Rags. Here goes:
Rags has an opportunity to peruse Dancing Lawn as a guest. Going back through years of the Writing Club, he finds Copperfox's pastiche "Southward the Tigers." Intrigued by this, Rags wonders whether, if able to enter the Narnian universe, they might meet Slimtalon. Crusader's destrier, in turn, hopes to find the two horses shown in "The Horse and His Boy."
Eventually, Willoughby Rabbit locates the three black- and-white cartoons. He regretfully informs them that, in Dancing Lawn chronology, Slimtalon, Hookpaw and their generation (including the Talking Gander Fear-No-Blast and the Talking Koala Madame Tinkswid) have already arrived in Aslan's Country. After they are treated to an empty-calories snack of meadowcream from Rustywall, John Burkitt (who always does what he otter) sends the Colorless Quetzalcoatl to offer them some options. The winged reptile is pleased to converse with other beings who are colorless.
Crusader Rabbit's stallion whinnies cheerfully at the mention of a horse-riding gunslinger named Emmett who got married to a Hans Christian Andersen character. The Quetzalcoatl regretfully curbs their enthusiasm with news that chronology makes a visit to the "Silverado" hero unlikely.
"Emmett and his kid brother Jake were inserted into a roleplay based on 'Alice in Wonderland,' in which Gentle Voice also assumed a role. In this, the Snow Queen-- NOT the version seen in 'Frozen'- attacked the brothers magically, toying with them in classic boss-babe fashion, MAKING them be weak and wimpy. The European woman belatedly apologized for this excessive god-modding, and offered to retcon it so Emmett and Jake WEREN'T wimpy; but Copperfox, not wanting to be accused of 'male fragility,' let it pass.
"An acceptable compromise was found. With involvement by the character Ghost from 'The Matrix,' it was determined that 'Queenie' was invincible ONLY while at play on the property of Mister Carroll's playing cards. Now Queenie was as penitent as the Dutch woman role-playing her was; accordingly, Emmett accepted her apology, not failing to make her understand that, with her outside her place of power, HE could easily slay her. All harms being healed as fully as if receiving Queen Lucy's cordial, Emmett and Queenie got married."
There was a bit of digression, in which Rags asked whence the Colorless Quetzalcoatl came. The Aztec-derived demigod (but NOT a party to any human sacrifice) proceeded to describe his origin on Planet Punksteema.
"But now back to our narration. I'm pretty sure Jake found a side-quest for himself, while Emmett and Queenie proceeded at best speed to two different story-realities. Both of these placed them WAY far into the future. One was in post- apocalyptic Narnia, wherein they got to explore the world-tree; the other was in Tolkien's Middle-Earth, after Sauron got his comeuppance."
Crusader sighs, "All right, we'll be glad to accept whatever travel plan IS available."
"Very well, I recommend lodgings at Harrod's Bend."
