thanks, GG. Well, I think I will officially start this story off by posting the first part of, "Left in the Shadows"
(The twin suns rose on Tattoine’s desert and barren surface. Shmi, not wanting to wake up, but forcing herself to rise, went about getting dressed slowly. It was only the day before that she had lost her two children, Petra and Anakin, and her heart told her that she may never see them again. Her heart ached considerably, lonely for the children she had birthed and raised. Well, she actually only raised Petra, Anakin being her only blood child. Shmi smiled…that seemed like such a long time ago when she took on the role of mother to her. She didn’t have any experience raising children, but she raised Petra as best as she knew how and with the greatest tool available to mankind: love. Since that day, she felt as if Petra were part of her. Then, when finding she was pregnant with Anakin, she was puzzled, but also enthralled with joy over it. She didn’t know how it was possible…it had just happened. Her mind, jumping from memory to memory, settled on the day when Petra Adiss entered her life.)
(Shmi was at the house of Lyn Me because of her friend’s urgent request that they meet there.)
Shmi: “Lyn, tell me what this is all about. I do have a slave’s life to run.”
Lyn: “Hold on...I have someone I want you to meet.”
(Lyn gets up)
Shmi: “Who?”
Lyn: “Just wait.”
(Lyn leaves into the other room and comes back carrying a young blonde girl.)
Shmi: “Lyn, how?”
Lyn: “Her parents left her with me. They couldn’t afford to raise her.”
Shmi: “Are they…”
Lyn: “They’re not native to Tattoine, no. Petra was born on Serenno.”
Shmi: “Petra?”
Lyn: *nodding to Petra* “It’s her name. It fits her don’t’ you think?”
Shmi: “Yes, yes it does. She’s beautiful as well.”
Lyn: “I need to ask you something.”
