I'm not sure I could even dream that one up
I'm sure you could. You're quite an imaginative girl, Steph.

Doesn't matter, GG. I'll still find a way to get past you!
(A knock interrupted her thoughts. She got up from the desk and opened the door. This was it…she knew that Cliegg Lars was on the other side, so she wasn’t surprised to see him.)
Cliegg: “Are you ready?”
Shmi: “Yes sir.”
Cliegg: “Alright then. Let me get your things.”
Shmi: “No, I’ll get them. I work for you, remember?”
(He laughed, but Shmi didn’t find it quite as funny. He saw her unmoved expression.)
Cliegg: “You don’t have to be so rigid.”
Shmi: “In fact I do. I’m your employee.”
(She picks her suitcases and walks out the door.)
Cliegg: *whispering* “Hopefully that will change.”
*bonus pic:*
in case you're wondering, that's moi in front of Anakin and Obi-Wan's costumes from ep. 3.
~One Year Later~
(Shmi had worked for the Lars’ family for a year and nothing between her and her employer had changed, at least, in her mind anyway. In Cliegg’s mind, he wanted to be more than an employer to her…in fact, he was falling in love with her with every passing day.)
(Shmi was working on a moisture vaporator with 3PO when Cliegg walked over to them.)
Cliegg: “How’s it coming?”
Shmi: “Fine…it’s almost fixed.”
Cliegg: “Do you need that big of a power converter on something so small?”
Shmi: “Normally I’d use a smaller converter, but with the larger one, you’ll be able to convert more power.”
Cliegg: “I know that, but why are you using a large converter?”
Shmi: *she starts to reply back, but bites her tongue. She says something different than planned* “I’m sorry, sir…I’ll change it to a smaller converter.”
Cliegg: “Very well.”
(He starts to walk off, but then turns around)
Cliegg: “And please, stop calling me sir. I’ve put up with it for a year, and I don’t think you have to be quite so formal.”
Shmi: “Why?”
Cliegg: “Just because I said.”
(Without waiting for an answer, he walked off. Shmi didn’t want to admit it, but she was beginning to have feelings for him…ones that went beyond employment and friendship.)
*thankfully I got un-stuck for now and wrote some more. Enjoy.*
