Lost In The Dark: Halloween-Themed RPG

"Nothing much, just the old pipe," stated Mike, now joining Ashe.
"But, I did find this," stated Mike, plopping down on the dressing table an old journal.
Ashe noticed it looked a lot like the one from the Study.

"Found it tucked under the pillow of the bed," stated Mike without interest as he wandered from the dressing table over to the big wardrobe.

She got her atention on the journal forgetting for seconds about the weird looking, ties.

Since it was very similar, probably what was wrote in there was related to the old book of the study.

She opened it, there were some missing pages, and the writting was very old and hard to read, she headed close to the light to see better, with the journal on her hands.

Ashe started to read, noticing that the journal left off from the one in the Study.
Whomever wrote it had obviously done copies of journal for people to read.

August, Eight Fifty-One AM, Somewhere in Africa

Mr. Morley had urged us to press on, despite the setback. He was an experienced tracker, despite being from England. He told me he had wanted to be an adventurer and he had thought the place for that was Africa.
He was right, of course. Because we nearly had a run-in from a gorilla, it's mighty hands beating its chest so as to frighten us off.

Ashe saw another sketch, this time of the gorilla, it was depicted as standing on its hind legs and roaring, beating its hands on its chest.

Mr. Morley had instructed us not to move and the gorilla eventually passed, clambering through the shrubbery.
Of course, I had to sketch the picture soon afterwards, while the picture of it was still fresh in my mind...

Ashe stood there focused reading, and watching the sketch very carefully, it was very well done.

"Look at this.." She called, glancing back at Mike.

But, as Ashe looked over to the wardrobe, she noticed Mike was no longer there.
She glanced arround the room, but Mike was nowhere to be seen.

occ: MWAHAHA I kneeeeeewww you would do that!! thats why i didnt write that she walked up to him XD LOOOL! this is fun.

ic:
"Mike!!.." she called... Ashe then began to get scared to death. She ran to the door glancing outside...

"Mike!! where are you?!!.." she holded the journal against her chest.

OOC: lol...At least it is still fun. :)

Hint: Go back into the room.

IC:
Ashe franticlly called for Mike, byut the boy did not or could not respond.
There was no sound nor sight of him.

occ: O__o so you tell hints...

ic:
Ashe stepped back inside the room, she felt how tears filled her eyes as she was despered with the thought that she was alone, and that something had happened to him.

"Mike!.." she called again..."Mike...." But each time her voice was weaker, she let herself down, as she ended crying inside the room, kneeling on the floor.

OOC: Well, you need it.
Anyway, I don't give hints often.

IC:
Suddenly, Ashe heard a muffled cry to her right, it sounded somewhat like Mike.
She stood up and went towards the wardrobe, glancing at the designs on the panel.
Ashe gasped in horror as she saw her new friend was now a part of the carving, his form a small one with his face contorted in terror, etched forever on the wardrobe.

O_____________________________O

that was cruel

ic:
Ashe cried louder but put her hand on her mouth, with the other one still holding the journal.

She was about to touch the wardrove, but before an inch, she stopped, something told her that, that was probably what Mike did, and thats how he ended that way.
Ashe thought she would go nuts... why did she get to this place...Probably if they hadnt come to this room, and instead go foward, this wouldnt have happened to Mike...

"Im....sorry...Mi...Mike.." she cried...watching him on the carving... she closed her eyes and shook her head...

But he was still there, that wasnt product of her imagination.

The etching of Mike did not move and most likely could not hear Ashe's words.

As she began to grieve for her friend, Ashe did not notice the ties from the open dresser drawer had started to float behind her until one of them brushed by her face in front of her.
Eerie and cruel chuckling was heard as the ties started swirling around the room.
The blue door slammed shut beside Ashe, making the eerie chuckling happen again.

She glanced upwards as her heart was beating so hard it would explote in her chest... She cried and yelled scared as she kneeled down again and put her hands on her face....

"GO AWAY!!!!.." She shouted.

Suddenly, the cruel laughter stopped.
Ashe felt some of the ties as they fell down, no longer floating.
Taking a few breaths, Ashe removed her hands from her face and glanced around at the lifeless ties around her.
There was a peppermint lolly in front of Ashe, the blue door opening with a creak.
The wooden frame of the wardrobe was still in front of her, the etching of Mike still there.

(Ashe can take the sweet and she can take a tie, if she wants to.)

She sobbed as tears ran down by themselves... She breathed in and out... it seemed to had gone away, she brushed the tears away from her face, her make up all messed up.

She grabbed the lolly... and glanced around for her bag that was still on the dressing table... she stood... grabbed it... And gave a last glance at Mike before getting outta there...

.."Good Bye....Mike..."... She whispered sadly.

She stood in the corridor... silence everywhere...

She should go straight now...where they should have gone instead....

(Items: Journal.
Candy: Chocolate Bar, Peppermint.)

Ashe left the room, shutting the door behind her. She was still sad by what happened to Mike, but knew she had to get out of this house.

She walked up the corridor, still kicking herself mentally for what she reckoned was her fault in Mike's death.
Ahead she heard the party music and it came from a bland and grey door to the right of her.
On the left was an oddly shaped mural, but she could not see it because she was not close enough to get a good look.

She wanted to see it, as curiosity was a quality that sometimes helped her, or, got her into trouble.

"Dont do something you might regret..." She told herself.

So with that, she glanced to her right... placing her hand on the door knob... If this was the party, Ashe would hate and blame herself the double for Mike's death...but, nonetheless, it could be just another room with shapes that were furniture.

Ashe opened the door and her heart plummeted as she noticed disco music blareing playing "The Monsster Mash" and kids near her age and older dancing in costumes.
Ashe had found the party, but her spirits were down because Mike was not alive to enjoy it.
"And in a few moments we will announce the Best Costume prize," stated a guy dressed as a skeleton on the stage.
The kids cheered and continued dancing to the music, some of the older teens moving more...racy...then the younger ones. But, it was all in good fun.
A girl dressed as a fairy was serving red punch with fake eyeballs floating in the mix.
A couple of teens were chilling around, drinking from their plastic cups, while some older teens drank from beer bottles.

She walked in.... but sat down in the nearest table she found... resting on her arms and she began to sob again....

"Its...all my fault..."

As she cried with her face buried on her arms... the candybag aside, and the journal, she tryed not to think in Mike's face anymore.

"Hey there, what's up?" asked a boy's voice. Ashe glanced up with tear-stained eyes and saw a boy of fifteen dressed in a cowboy outfit.
Despite his attire being macho, the boy's face looked really concerned.
He had his right hand fondling his belt strap slightly while his other hand held a cup of punch.

She didnt reply, rather brushed the tears away from her eyes again, and sat back.

She kept her sight down, being a little ashamed because of the way she looked.

"Im fine.." She replied, judging by the look on the boy's face.

The boy still looked concerned.
He stopped fiddling with his belt and sat opposite Ashe, offering her the plastic cup of punch.
"Here, you need it more then I do," he stated kindly.
