Love Me Forever

She didnt answer him as she was distracted by what was happening outside. The sounds from the thunder and lightening were pretty loud and close. She couldnt take her gaze away from the lightening bolts.

She jumped as he got close to her. She didnt know why she was afraid of them. Perhaps a distant childhood memory that she had tried to block out and couldn't quite remember. She looked at him through frightened eyes.

The shaking finally stopped as she closed her eyes and tried to calm herself down. She could feel Bennets arms around her and that helped, made her feel safe. A tree had nearly fallen ontp of her when she was 5, during the storm, if it hadnt been for her father grabbing her just in time.

Bennet rested his cheek on Pepper's head. He continued to hold her tight, looking out the window. Several minutes later he smiled. "Pepper, the storm's slowing down." Outside the thunder had stopped, and there was just a hint of sunlight shining through the clouds.

She opened her eyes and glanced outside. He was right the storm had practically gone. She relaxed once again. "I'm sorry..........I dont know what came over me" she said realising what just happened.

Bennet loosened his hold on her, but didn't let go completely. "It's alright. I'm just glad you're alright." He smiled at her.

She smiled slightly looking up at him but there was still something bothering her. "Thanks...."
The lights came back on.
"The storm has cleared now" the owner began to speak "thank you for your cooperation" he added.

She nodded and stood up. She still had his jacket on but seeing as he hadnt asked for it back she would wear it for just a bit longer. As they left the cafe she slipped her hand into his. "You must think I'm really strange..." she said as they walked.

"No, of course not." Bennet said. "I mean, that storm was scary. I don't blame you." He somewhat blushed when she put her hand in his, and he tightened his hand slightly around hers.

She wanted to explain why but she coudnt quite put her feelings into words. They finally got to her house. She stood by the door and turned around to face him. Her eyes gazed into his. "Thanks.....for tonight...I had a great time".

She smiled. She sensed he was a little uncomfortable. "Sure" she said. She kissed him lightly on the cheek "goodnight" she added as she turned around to walk into her house.

ooc:I saw that coming! :p

ic: She hadnt been expecting that and was slightly swept off her feet. She wrapped her arm around his neck and kissed him back. She could hear Jasper barking in the background.

ooc: LOL Yeah...these things can be predictable. :p

Bennet put his arm around Pepper's waist, holding her close. He gently, and reluctantly, pulled away. "I should probably let you go before Jasper catches us. I wouldn't want you to get into trouble." He chuckled, and slowly stepped backwards.
