She smiled " You are the best friend I ever had Nate guys are dumb but you no way," she told him, getting closer to him " And no I don't know them," she told him, with a sigh.

"Thanks..." he replied not quite sure why May had all of a sudden closed the distance between them.
"Well I'll introduce you" he said as they approached Evie and David.
"Hey guys" he said with a smile. "This is May, May meet David and Evie".

May looked down at her feet " Hi," she said in her shy voice.

"Hey," Evie said, smiling. She glanced at Nathan, her smile brightening slightly.

"So I didn't see you here earlier" he said to Evie glancing from David then to her.

"Just got here," Evie replied. "I was putting it off, to tell you the truth."

May got closer to him she didn't like the way this girl was looking at Nate.

Evie noticed May moving closer to Nate. "So, May, uhh, nice to meet you." Who was this girl?

She had a weak smile on her face " You to I.I guess," she told her.

"Are you new here, I've never seen you around before," Evie said, slightly confused.

 

[Gentle Voice]

She shooked her head " No I'm not new I just don't come to parties like this," she told her.

'What was May doing?' Nate thought. She was practically suffocating him.
"Why? I thought you and Kendra loved gatherings like this" he replied trying to pull away from May a little.

"Well, after a while, you start to wonder what the point is," Evie said, shrugging. "And I can't help but wish I could do something more useful with my time."

Jordan finished her apple. "Lets go do something."

Nate smiled. Maybe he was wrong about Evie, maybe she wasn't as self indulged and beauty obsessed as he thought she was.
"Me too. Where is Kendra by the way?".

She looked at Nate with a frown " Nate come on let go," she told him.

Evie looked around. "I think she went to go talk to her mom... She hasn't been around in a while," she said.

Jordan shrugged, "I dont know. Are there any partys today?"

"I'm not ready to leave yet" he told May. She was acting really strangely, like they were dating or something. E
Evie was here and he certainly wasn't going to leave now. "Whats the problem?" he asked her quietly. "You're the one that wanted to come".
A guy walked past with drinks on a tray. Nate quickly grabbed on and gave it to May forgetting it was champagne.
"So what you doing after this?" he asked Evie.

"Um well Evie was saying something about a party at her parents house, i thought i was gonna be busy but what i was gonna do got cancled, we could look in on it?" she said.
