Mafia: Game 6

Ok, though this has nothing to do with this particular game, it is still regarding mafia.

So, I am the narrator for Mafia Game 7. There is already a sign-up thread, and there are links to both that and a list of signed up members. Please sign up in the thread and then check back in a day or so to make sure that I put your name on the list.

Also, I don't think that it will be a reveal game, nor will there be a duke. I am also considering implimenting some kind of time limit, just enough of one to keep the game running. It will most likely be something along the lines of: 3 days (72 hours from the time I declare night) for the mafia, angel, and psychic, and 5 days (120 hours from the time I declare day) for the accusations and hanging. If the night is over and I still do not have a names from the mafia, angel, and psychic, I will RANDOMLY pick out names (most likely from a hat, so there is no bias) to fill in the blanks. And when the Day is over, the person with the most votes will be the one who is hung. I do not forsee any problems with this time limit, but if there is, it can always be adjusted.

Now, if there are ANY questions, comments, or concerns about the way I intend on narrating, please PM me!!! I am very open to suggestions, and nothing is set in stone yet.

Sounds great, fish. you know it is quite funny that L_A tried to blame loverable, it is quite reminisent of another mafia who did the same thing *glances quickly at Twilight then at Nightfire who became the Twilight's victim as well as her cohort*.

Fish, I like the thing about having time limits for th day & night (of course I do! It was my idea in the first place!:D), but I think 3 and 5 days are a little too long. I would suggest 2 & either 3 or 4 days, depending. You see, even though it takes a week NOW is because the players don't have any reason to vote sooner, but if you established this time limit, they would all vote. Besides, you don't need everybody to vote - whoever had a majority vote by the end of the day would get hung! And if nobody got a majority vote, then you could extend the time limit by 24 hours, and then if nobody STILL had a majority vote, another 24 hours, etc.

Just a suggestion, you know.

Do you mean L_A in your first sentence? If not, then I'm afraid I don't know what you referring to...

As for the time limit, 4 days might work for the daytime, but my only concern for the 2 day night is that it doesn't give the mafia enough time to talk it over, especially if one is in a very different time zone than the others. But then, as we've never implimented any kind of time limit, I really have no idea how much time will be needed. I could easily see how 4 days (or maybe even 3) would be enough time for the day, because it doesn't really matter what time zone a person is in- they only have to post their vote. However, I'm hesitant to start off night with less than 3 days because that really does require PM correspondance. But as I said before, if 3 days ends up being plenty of time for night, I can always shorten it mid-game. I do see what you're saying about daytime, though, and 5 days does seem a bit long now.

All right, well, now that you are dead, I suppose we can tell you... We civillians figured out who were civillains and who were non-mafia... With the exception of a mistake or two, we were right. That's how we knew you were mafia, Twilight was mafia, and how Loverble will be revealed as mafia. We're so cunning... :D
 
It wasn't quite infallible, but apparently all the Mafia were on our non-civilians list.

About the time limits: It's my personal opinion that the Mafia would be less inclined to argue if they had a clock ticking away, because they would know that if they didn't get their murders in on time, they wouldn't GET their murders. At least when I was mafia, very few of us argued - it was literally, "I think we should kill so-and-so", and everybody else just agreed. But maybe not all Mafia groups are like that.

The next morning, the townspeople found werewolf prints leading to and away from Eggnogs mangled body.

It won't be nasty... and it won't be a shock, either. You see, the person who told everybody to vote for you was most decidedly NOT Mafia, seeing as she's the ghost of a civilian... :rolleyes:
