Um.

Could the Mods do something about all these ridiculous fan threads that keep popping up in the Land of Duffers? (i.e., lock them...) I'm sure HB could come up with some plausible explanation about members feeling insulted because they don't have a fan club...

Yes Mods, please delete the fan threads or at least mine *smiles sweetly at Kevin*!

Also, when you go to User CP there is a thing that say Track Messages. What does that mean?

It lists the number of messages you have gotten confirmations on... you know, if you check the box at the bottom of a PM that says "request a read receipt on this message" or words to that effect. Then, after somebody reads it, it pops up a little box asking them to confirm that they read it. Then it sends the confirmation to you, and it appears on your "track messages" list.

Ooooh, okay! Thanks! ;)

The server seems to be to busy about 80% of the time, recently. Is there a reson for this, or is it just The General Cussedness of Electronics?

i think they do it on purpose so that you have to be REALLY determined to post something when you do... maybe they think our standards have sunk *stucks nose in the air and proceeds to wonder if this post will make it past the server*

Actually, it was because the entire site was getting cut over to a new server. That process is now complete, and hopefully everyone will be recognizing the benefits of greater site stability and faster response.

(so everyone knows - Paul pays for all this out of his own resources, with only the minor ad revenue offsetting it. We should all be thankful that he makes this forum possible!)
