My First Fan-Fic

Lucy searched through the courtyard until she came upon a statue of a faun. Mr. Tumnus. She reached out and touched the stone fingers, and tears came to her eyes. Susan was beside her now.
"Oh, Lucy," Susan said softly, put her arms around the little girl.
Lucy hid her face in Susan's shoulder and sobbed. "He was my friend," she whispered.
Aslan walked over and he looked from Lucy to the statue of Tumnus. He paused and then breathed on the statue of the faun.
Lucy and Susan watched. For a moment, it seemed as if nothing were happening, but then, they saw color coming back into the very top of the faun's head. It slowly spread downwards, and Mr. Tumnus began to breathe. Finally, Mr. Tumnus wasn't a statue anymore. He stood before them, blinking and catching his breath.
"Mr. Tumnus?" Lucy whispered.
"Oh Lucy!" cried the Faun.

Lucy flung her arms around her old friend. "Mr. Tumnus, I'm glad you're alright!" she said. Then, she turned to Susan. "Susan, this is -" but Susan cut her off.
"Mr. Tumnus!" Susan said.
Meanwhile, Aslan had been busy breathing on the other statues in the courtyard, bringing them back to life. Susan, Lucy, and Mr. Tumnus looked around.
"Search the castle," Aslan said to the Narnians and the two girls. "Peter and Edmund will need all of the help they can get."
Lucy and Susan looked at each other. Maybe Emily was one of the prisoners here? It was worth looking. And besides, there were othe Narnians here, too. So, off the girls and the newly freed Narnians ran, searching through the castle for other unfortunates and throwing windows and doors open everywhere, letting light into the old place.

Lucy hurried down one of the corridors of the castle, searching. Susan was following her.
"Susan, do you think she could be in here some where?" Lucy asked.
"I don't know," Susan replied. "I hope that she is."
"And that she's in one piece," Mr. Tumnus said, who had come with the girls as well.
"That's a horrible idea!" Lucy exclaimed.
"But it's very possible," Mr. Tumnus said quietly.
Lucy shuddered.
"We'll have to hope that she's still alright," Susan said.

It was still dark. But somehow, it seemed warmer all of a sudden. Emily didn't really notice it, though. She was still feeling trapped. She thought there was no way out this time. Slowly, she noticed the warmth and then, with a start, she noticed a bit more light. It wasn't so dark anymore. "What's happening?" she thought, frightened a little.

Susan shook Emily. "Emily? Emily! Wake up! Please let her be alright!"
Emily opened her eyes slowly. "Susan?" She winced and rubbed her wrists and ankles, which were bruised badly.
"Oh Emily!" Lucy cried. "What happened to your chin?"
"Oh, it's bruised," Emily said.
Susan helped Emily to her feet. "We've found her!" she called. The Narnians and Aslan had been searching the camp for her. They had come after scouring the castle and making sure that everyone there had been saved.

After a mad scramble which lasted about five minutes, everyone was ready to go again.
"Do you think we'll get there in time?" Lucy asked.
Susan smiled, trying not to look nervous. "I think we will, Lucy."
The little girl nodded, trying to look convinced.
Emily touched Lucy's shoulder. "Hey," she said, "It'll be fine, Lu. We have Aslan again. Everything is going to be fine."
Lucy bit her lip and nodded again. Suddenly, she said, "Let's get going then! What are we waiting for?"
This statment brought cheers from the Narnians and Aslan chuckled. "Come; we have work to do yet," said the Lion; and soon they were all started on their way.
It was just past miday now, and the sun shone brightly on the approahing Narnians. As they drew nearer and nearer to the battle field, the clash of mettle against mettle, and shouts and cries began to grow more audible. Lucy, Susan, and Emily looked a each other. They were getting closer. Susan looked over at Aslan, and drew a deep breath.
"He knew what he was doing," she whispered. "He knew what he was doing.... all along, he knew."
Emily heard her friend's musing and she nodded in agreement. "You're right Susan. The question is, do we know what we're doing?"
Susan turned her head and looked at Emily questioningly.
Emily grinned.
Susan laughed, and then she turned serious again.
"Hang in there, Su," Emily said.
"You're a good friend, Emily."
"Hey! You were there for me when I needed you. The least I can do is return the favor."
Susan smiled. "Thanks."
