Narnia Four Disc EE Discussion Thread

But then again, 8 more minutes of Narnia is better than nothing. However, the extras on the other DVDs made it really worth it.

True...it would have been nice to see some scenes that we knew they worked on and didn't put in like the party at Cair Paravel with the dancing.

The extra discs are what made it worth the cost that they charged for it...the extra 8 minutes are great...but they still put a little bit too high of a price tag on it in my opinion.

Well, if you guys have the one or two disk edition (which I'm sure most of you do) it comes with that mail in rebate for 10 dollars by Jan 31 of this year. So with the rebate it'll be like I'm paying...24 dollars? I still havent sent it in though, I'm too lazy haha. I still havent watched the movie about C.S. Lewis, but the other features are great. And I like the box it comes in haha.

Yep, I have it. I was just watching it some minutes ago. :D
I like it. :D But I did would wanna see the Coronation scene with dancing! :(

I got it for my birthday..is it supposed to come with a companion book or something? that's what it said on the back but mine didn't have it (mine's not the gift set)...

Yeah, just call the number on your DVD and they'll tell you what to do, there was some thread on here about that...i dont know where it is, or maybe it was an article on Narniafans.com

I got mine today, they send it in about a week.

Yes!! Guess what? I'm getting paid on Wednesday. Guess what I'm buying?!

THE ROYALE EDITION! As Narnia is my all top fave film, I am dedicated to it, and am willing to spend extra money for my top fandom. Nothing else. Haha. :D
I can't wait. I've seen ONE extended clip on youtube, with Mr Tumnus and Lucy and that's it. It wasn't long though. I REALLY am dying to see the Extended Battle, as The Battle scene is my favourite :p

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the extended battle scene. It is just sooooooooooooo good!

The battle scene is my favorite part of the film also especially with the additional scenes included in it.

I bought the EE of Narnia last month. I was kind of disappointed that there wasn't more scenes on there then what I would of expected. Like, what happened to the dance after the coronation? Or Susan blowing her horn before her and lucy climb the trees? But I still like it though, especially that now I have all the extra dvds to watch. :)

I just watched it! I love the added scenes and the coloring was so much better. Just the tiny, extra 30 seconds made it so much better and showed so much more of what each character was thinking. The coloring was also much better. Lucy's cheeks were actually pink with cold, and Edmund's bruise was that yellowish-green. I liked the extended battle scene, but the shorter one went better with the music. I also loved how when they got out of the river, they were paler, with cold, than they were in the normal version. Everything was so much more real, and the characters and Narnia were so much more realistic and brighter to me in the extended version.

And another thought, its on Edmund. When Ginnabrik attacked him, and he first sees the , he looks back, as if looking for a way out, but knowing he can't escape. That was added, and it showed a whole different side of Edmund, that he got himself into a mess, he couldn't get out of.

The extra blurbs added so much more to each characters personality and showed just how wonderful the actors are at getting across the feeling they want to get across. On the train when Lucy hands her toy to Edmund, she is trying to comfort him, but he hands it to the small boy across from him. Lucy looks hurt in a way...like she's about to cry, but when the little boy smiles at her in thanks for the comfort, she brightens just a little bit. And in that small instant it shows how caring and concerned Lucy really is for others. I got so much more out of the extended version. So much more feeling and vibrance.

I must confess myself disappointed with the extended edition of the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I had hoped that it would contain lost scenes as elaborate as those on the EE's for Lord of the Rings; however, the EE furnished little more than a few minutes of new footage, most of which was barely memorable. I can only hope that Disney creates a more pleasing product come Prince Caspian. I should have just purchased the regular edition.
