Narnia Quotes Quiz

Benisse said:
Peeps has the right scene in Voyage of the Dawn Treader, but both he and AravisK guessed the wrong speaker.
Ah, it's Lucy. Edmund was the one who jumped up because he sat on something sharp.

I think it was Digory on arriving in Charn and seeing the strange sun, but I'm not sure. Benisse, were you going to post a quote?

Next:
"I wonder if we've arrived just in time for a thunderstorm; or an eclipse."

Peeps
Benisse: hmmmm sounds like Digory or Polly when they first entered Narnia? [goes off to check]

When they first entered Narnia, I am almost certain of it. :) So you are right, Benisse. :)

EDIT: Oh, next quote
"Fancy sleeping on air. I wonder if anyone's done it before. I don't suppose they have."

yea, i know, it was the best one I could find at such short notice without the books with me...

Okay, my next one may seem easy, but who actually said it?

Peter, by the gift of Aslan, by election, by perscription, and by conquest, High King over all Kings in Narnia, Emperor of the Lone Islands, Lord of Cair Paravel, knight of the Most Noble Order of the Lion.

Peter, to Miraz in his letter.

Laurel had the previous one correct - it was on entry to Charn, not Narnia.

Next:
"No side, no stand-off-ishness."

Peeps

"No side, no stand-off-ishness."
That was the lion that had been turned to stone in the Witch's castle in LWW after Aslan awakened all the statues and Aslan had said "us lions," which really pleased that lion.

Here's mine:
"rumbling waterfalls, silver cascades, deep, amber-colored pools..."

It looks like people are having trouble with my quote. I'll add some more to it and see if that helps:

"It had everything you could want on an occassion of that sort-rumbling waterfalls, silver cascades, deep, amber-colored pools..."

No, that was in Caspian, describing the gorge through which the River Rush tumbled, and down which the travellers had to clamber when they were going the wrong direction.

"We'll have no strong language in this house, if you please." (paraphrase)

Trumpkin, in response, I believe, to being called 'the DLF' for the first time.

Next:
"Meanwhile, stand still on the threshold, as you value your life."

Peeps

"Meanwhile, stand still on the threshold, as you value your life."
The White Witch's wolf that was laying across the doorway to Edmund when he went to find the Witch.

"And now hear your task. Far from here in the land of Narnia..."

Is that Aslan giving Jill Pole her assignment and clues before blowing her to Narnia? [Silver Chair]

[[wakes up with a start]]

Okay here are some more quotations:

"This is an ugly furrow to plow."

"And there are no such things as lions."

"But there is another way."
