If you ever have a trial version of photoshop or a complete version, I have a lot and I mean a lot of brushes for you my dear sis ;) I know you said you can't use photoshopbrushes in photofiltre. But wait...can you use them when they are on Jpeg file?

thats so cute!! you know that wallpaper you made with the unicorn, i found it really cute how you added a horn to a horse...teehee omg! you have photofilter or phototfilter studio? i know how to make brushes and download them in photofilter studio but its just a trial so by the end of the 30 days i was really getting the hang of things and it ended and i was like grrrrrrrr.....never downloading trials ever again! and I've tried so many times so many ways to re download it, that is, in the same month. That was a while ago. Pshht GIMP is the awesome program.

I have a photofiltre one...the old version one....without any layers to brush on it
I have tried the photofiltre studio ones....but yes...I just tried the 30 days trial...but I only capable in photofiltre...:D I mean..if Vanessa could be a Photoshop master...I'll try to be a Photofiltre (old version) master :D j/k...

OoTB...if you can share your own made brushes.....I will really appreciated it!!!!!GIMP is awesome...but once again....I can't work with layers... *crying*
 
Dani, layers are very simple. See it as different pictures all ordened on each other. If you have a background pic and you m ove a second pic on it, then you must set the second pic blending option on screen and then you will see the background pic shining through :D

ootB: I draw the horn with the Lasso tool. I chose Polygon lasso and kept the shift button pressed while drawing a line. and then I drawed the line in the shape of a triangle and I used a white/grey color to fill it and then I used the unsharp tool to fade it a bit ;)
 
With my tutorials you will learn it step by step :D I have sent you th brushes!! I had GIMP on my pc but I deleted it. For me Photoshop is the main program. I use it for so long now.
 
Yep...I've got the brushes!!!! :D yayy!!! Thank you....but...unfortunately, not all the brushes that you sent could used in photofiltre...but I'm still searching the way to solve it!!! This is the proofs that photoshop brushes also could used in photofiltre ;):

I think..it doesn't matter if you will put the brushes in a single file or not..but the problem is.....they doesn't showed like it should be after I blend it...the programs sometimes resulted not like what I thought...not as beautiful as photoshop does...so..I think it coz of the program itself, not the brushes...

If you want to learn layers,in GIMP,I can teach you,Dani..:)
Its not hard once you find the right buttons (which for me,took several months..my tired lazy brain..:rolleyes: )
But of coarse,GIMP isn't half as good as photoshop...:eek:
Love the brushes you used on the HP banner,btw..:)
 
Hmmm...the difference betwen Gimpshop and GIMP is it is one big wondow but I haven't seen much more diferences yet. I already figured out how GIMP works and now I can help you with Gimp too Audrey! Some filters are even more nice than the Photoshop ones but Photoshop is much easier to work on when it comes to seperate windows.
 
Do you know if theres a really good way of blending in GIMP?..other than what I do (I erase around the edges,or lay the layers on top of each other and fade them in)..♥
I'd like to learn how to blend scenery together...:)
 
Have you used the technique I descriped a while ago?
You'll do this:
1. Open a new file. The size of the banner-to-be
2. Open a pic and add it onto your new ile
3. Duplicate the pic
4. Open another pic and add it to the same new file. It will automatically placed on top of your layers.
5. Right click and choose: Add layer mask.
6. In the pop-up menu chose: Black full transparacy.
7. Now the duplicated first pic is visible and the top layer isn't.
8. make sure the foreground color is WHITE
9. Select a soft brush tool
10. Now paint on the file and the top layer will come through. Paint it in the way the parts of the top layer you want to be in the banner are visible. If unwanted parts show up, change the foreground color to black and paint again. Now on the parts you want to disappear.

It is necessary you decide before you do all this where you want the pics to go into each other because if you start to paint, you can't move the layers otherwise it will become a mess ;)
