Slowly, Susan turned to the face the red light from the book. The light was coming from a red stone in the book, Susan realzied it was the medallion Higan had just spoken of. It emerged from the book and floated, as by magic, towards Susan, who looked on in awe.

Susan reached out her hands slowly, fearful of the power of the stone, and as she touched the stone, saw various moments as if they were being played in Higans memory.

ooc: maybe i can pick this up where i left off.....

ic: Susan was astonished at the things she learned of Higans life, as she felt the dwarf speaking to her, in her thoughts, as she experienced things as though first hand, but really in her own mind.
"My father was in possesion of the Pyrinx stone, which enabled him to live, and contintue to live for as long as he possesed the stone. I never learned of where he got the stone, but it is legend that it belonged once to Aslan himself... One fateful day an attack came upon our peaceful village, and we had no means of protection or defensive manuvers, we were a peaceful people back then. Now we act out in fear. My father took me aside as we were under siege, and he spoke to me with hope and promise in his eyes. he told me to not fear and to stay put and not cry out. those were his only words, he knew what he had to do, although no one else knew of his great advantage of the Pyrinx stone. Slowly, yet faithfully he took the stone out from around his neck, and held it up into the Sun. As the rays hit it, a dark red shield fell over him. I knew his command, but inside I was screaming with fear, and my legs would not move. Suddenly as if everything had frozen, and he was all that mattered, my fathers body, limp begun to lift off the ground and soar higher and higher into the air. this caused the light reflected from the stone to cover a larger area of our village, until the entire village was emcompassed. All at once the red light bursted forth, and then vanished into thin air, along with my father. No one knew the truth of what had happened. All of the attackers were gone at once, and our villagers were bewildered byall that had happened. After consulting my fathers ancient books, I learned of the stones power, the power of protection, my father gave that up for our village, he gave up his life, for our survival..." Higans voice faded out of Susans mind along with all the vivid imagery she had just seen, as if in person.
The look on Higan's face was a mixture of sorrow and gratefulness for her fathers actions. Susan still grasped the stone in her hands, which was no longer glowing, she gave it a squeeze and then carefully placed in back into Higans hands.
The two exited the tree with the same fashion that they had arrived, quickly, and silently. there was no neeed to discuss all that Susan had seen, it was self-explanitory.

Anyways she is my cousin who joined this RPG a while ago but lost her password lol

Sorry, I can't start the battle without Sarah (Brightlywound) in postition and I am not in position either. We have it all planed out.. Sorry if we are boring you, but both of us have suddenly gotten really busy.
