New Wonka Movie

The movie was weird. It just freaked me out in most of the places. But that's just my opinion. I like the old one better I think. Just because the oompa loompas were different people and not all one person. The songs in the new one were.....interesting..... ^_~
 
In LWW, Grinnabrik was played by the same dude who played all the Oompa Loompas. THAT was realy weird, I couldn't help but hear all of those awesome songs any time he entered the scene. He was humerous, but almost so much so that he wasn't scary.
 
yeah the new oompa loompas creep me out (i discussed this with the TA of my film class and she hated the new oompa loompas too)

and actually deep roy played the oompa loompas while ginarrbrik was kiran shah...

but overall i love the film i thought it was genius... (something to do with the fact that i WORSHIP tim burton i guess)

I liked everything about that movie, except Willy Wonka, but he was alright. He was kinda weird, but grows he you after while. Its just not the same character as the one it the book(s).

Great movie though in my opinion. 8/10
 
I'm not a fan of the new one, I like the old one better. Gene Wilder rocks as Willy Wonka, I also loved him as the Fox in 'The Little Prince'.

NOT a surprise! :D That is really odd. How could the same whip-carrying, angry little dwarf from LWW be a supposedly 'cute' Oompa Loompa on Willy Wonka? Very....hmmm...odd...(I couldn't help laughing a little as I read your post borntofly...) Say no to the new Wonka movie, everyone! (Mostly, to rile up Inkspot who thinks it's so great.) :D

Yeah, the actor who played in The Chrinicles of Narnia was also a oompa loompa. His name is Deep Roy.

I thought this movie was ok. Some of the songs were funny, and I think it was closer to the original book compaired to the first Willy Wonka movie. But I think the real problems with this movie was Willy Wonka. He was just too weird. Some of the other characters were different too, like Mike TV. I think the first movie is still much better.
 
ok. now i did and it's about narnia and ginabrik the dwarf, I thought they were the same but no, deep roy wasn't in narnia, the dude that was in narnia was in the temple of doom(indiana jones) :eek: they luk the same though, voice, since, everything! they're clones! jks! :p
 
Okay, thanks for the info on the dwarf/oompa loompa. They do look a lot alike! Freaky.

Kate, you are right, there were some bratty people in that film. But that little boy who played Charlie, he was adorable and would make a good Shasta if they film HHB quickly.

I actually think that the boy who played charlie could make a good shasta.
 
I finished watching the movie about five to ten minutes ago, and though it wasn't my all time favorite, Johnny Depp was amazing and funny! The movie itself didn't make much sense.
