Official Tilda Swinton

Broken Flowers is already out, I personally didn't enjoy it much, very slow but Tilda's scene was great, unfortunately it was also the shortest. If you really want to see her in a beautiful film watch The Deep End or Conceiving Ada or Young Adam (for the over 18 crowd).

Yes, as much as I love Tilda Swinton for her superb talents, there are many of her movies I can definitely do without seeing. :(

At least watch the ones she did with Derek Jarman, in time, of course. Really, The Last of England is so beautiful and wrenching.

Well, I would like to see at least a few other films, and if as you say this one is good, then I'll definitely have to consider it.

I remember, years ago, seeing bits and pieces of Orlando, but there were only two things I recall out of it: her sprawling on the ground, declaring "Nature, nature, I'm thy bride!" and the next moment being transposed to some different time, and then her extremely huge "couch" dress, as I call it - she sat down and took up an entire couch. Those ladies in the 18th century!

Which director would that be? If you're speaking of Derek Jarman, of course they a relationship of comrades and common-art and mutual respect. However, the man was gay and had a long time partner of his own. He himself described he and Tilda's relationship as... "...in a way I think I'm in love with both Tilda and (his partner)... maybe love isn't the right word... more of comradeship..."

Well unfortunately,I'm not in the "18 crowd" so obviously I shouldn't see most of her other films...oh I'm getting depressed now really :(..but all her films can't be that bad,can they?
Whatever,I watched Vanilla Sky for an hour once and I didn't see her in it (it was kinda strange,by the way)..is she really in that one?

She has a cameo of sorts in Vanilla Sky playing a scientist in the cryogenics offices that what's-his-name visits. You'd definitely remember seeing her though, she looked a little different and she used an American accent but when she looks into the camera a person absolutely knows it's her. I don't think any actor looks into a camera the way Tilda does.

Hm..I guess I must have missed that part then...
Yeah,I agree with you,it's definately something special with her way to look into the camera.Well,I've only seen her in LWW,but it's not only in movies,it's there every time she looks into a camera.Pictures,interviews...u know...:)
She is special.
And she seems smart too :)

She is REALLY smart! She graduated from Cambridge University in 1983 with two degrees, in English Literature and Political Science! That is really hard to do!

Well, she has to be smart then! :) And I've noticed she also says very smart things in interviews.

That I seriously doubt, like anyone can read the minds of another person to predetermine their questions and script answers. Here's a chore for you, find the letter Tilda wrote to Derek Jarman for his memorial and read it, better yet find Edward II on DVD and listen to her give the speech. No one but her wrote or spoke that. Just a side note: Plenty of people like others who sound stupid (and are dangerous), how do you think Bush got reelected?

Though I wholly disagree with that very biased and unfounded opinion, let's all keep in mind this is a discussion on our appreciation of Tilda Swinton.

I apologize, simply making a point. Anyway, I just watched Orlando for the first time the other day; anyone else seen it? Tilda makes for an absolutely darling Elizabethan boy.

OMG Tilda as EXCELLENT in 'The Beach'!!

Its one of my favourite films.... Im a fan of her and obviosley Leonardo DiCaprio... :p *fans self*
