Of course William is a marvelous actor, or else he wouldn't have been in the movie.

i dont care if hes a bad singer, he can sing to me all he wants. i can tune out the bad vocals with the extremely perfect everything else ;)

I'm sorry, I find William Moseley to be a very untalented actor. I look at him in the movie, and I wonder how they couldn't have picked a better Peter. I also think that all four of the children had some pretty horrid moments throughout the movie when it comes to acting, ESPECIALLY the time when Lucy is telling them about the wardrobe, and the other three Pevensies turned around at the SAME TIME to look at her. Brothers and sisters don't do that--they're not mechanical like that. I think a ton of the scenes were just awkward and could have been refilmed. Also, the part where Lucy is giving Mr. Tumnus a handkerchief and one moment her face is smiling (a rather painful smile, for some reason) and then she looks like she saw a ghost. It was very strange. But I think the movie is good overall, I just believe that some people like the actors because they find each one of them attractive in some way, which I don't think is reason enough to obsess over their acting ability.

I agree with you there, its like what the... she smiles then like drops it...

But still, you are only counting off their bad abilities. I think each of them are growing actors who havent had much experience but are learning. Each of them had some excellent parts in the movie. Georgie Henley was especially amazing-- her crying scenes were done very well. Even Skandar did really well being like the mean, troublesome one in the beginning to the quiet, almost ashamed one towards the end. Anna Popplewell- she didn't have very many lines, and I think many people criticized her because she didn't show enough emotion or character. But theres only so much you can do when you only have a few lines!! And William Moseley-- I can honestly say that NONE of the fans on here only like him because he is good-looking. Just because he is, it doesn't mean that is the only reason :p He has talent, and with more experience I believe he can do very well. He is GREAT at showing emotion on his face-- just the look he gave Susan when he came out of the river only holding Lucy's coat... even without expressing in words he manages to display what he is feeling at that moment, whether it is immediate terror, sadness, or nervousness.

You must remember when criticizing them that these actors are merely CHILDREN (well, they were when filming this) and don't have as much experience as adult actors do.

And I can say now that I've seen this movie over 100 times, I couldn't imagine anyone else playing their roles better.
 
No, no, I think that's all very true. I truly think that every actor except William Moseley did a great job. I just think he wasn't that good of a pick, just my opinion. And please, you could find actors who can express emotion just about everywhere you look. Just because he can show emotion doesn't mean he was the right pick. And William is Moseley isn't a child, wasn't he around 18 when filming LWW?

he was 15 when auditioning and by the time they finished shooting he was barely 17.
oh well-- there'll always be ppl who dislike his acting :rolleyes:
 
ya there are people who dislike peoples acting.. but saying that will's acting sucks really isn't very nice.. cuz he did an awesome job... and he was only 16... that's young i mean i bet you couldn't have even done that good when you were 16... will was the perfect pick for peter!
