*grumble grumble* don't get me started on Turkish Delight..there have been a myriad of threads dedicated to the 'is it nice or is it rancid' debate...ech ech ech..I'd rather eat paving stones..
but back on topic naught ranting Rosy..didn't they eat nuts and honey inHHB? * i have the book in front of me but can't be bothered to look - very lazy today*
 
oh no..it's basically boiled sugar, gelatin and perfume..sometimes it's wrapped in chocolate to disguise it's hideousness ..but it doesn't work!!
 
Yeah, i always imagined it as a caramel sort of a thing but it's ghastly. I tried it once. A ghastly sweet for a ghastly edmund I suppose.

I've had turkish delight, thanks to a friend. Or not thanks to him. It wasn't very good, but things do evolve... maybe it was once good (or considered good, because people's preferences change as well). Look I'm tired and I don't know what I'm saying... *gives reproachful look to whoever persuaded her to post.

The english used to eat pigs heads and blood pudding. there are many ways they could have improved cooking.(no offence to the brits out in cyberspace)
 
Oh Gryphon, we still eat black pudding, made from errr blood and tripe, cows stomach..oh it's wrong, wrong in so many ways...

you poor thing. next time make bread pudding with whiskey sause. it is guuud. :D
 
I've been eating a lot of supernoodles recently...max taste (?!) and no calories..possibly...eat B vitamins they are very good!!!
