"And tell me what are you interesting of?" -Gilberto

"My interestings... ummm... I'll like to study something that has to do with art and that sort of things" -Suri

"So u are an art person?" -Gilberto

"Yes I think I am" -Suri

There was a big paused between them...

"So... what are you doing after taking the pictures of Esgrima?" -Gilberto

"Oh my God!!! the pictures!!! what time is it?" -Suri checked her watch "I think we must go back soon"

"Yes we should... u still haven't answered my question" -Gilberto

"Oh yes... ummm... I'm going to check the pictures I took for Master Pitik and also the ones for my cousin so I'll be busy all day" -Suri
 
When Suri and Gilberto reached the stage area, Master Pitik looked relieved. "Gilberto! I was afraid YOU had gone hunting hoodlums also!" When Gilberto proved unaware of what his instructore meant, Pitik told him, "At the skateboard ramp, some goon hit Alipang's sister.."

"Oh, Lord! Did Alipang kill him, or ONLY cripple him for life?"

"Neither. He only pinned the guy on the ground until Mr. Kramer took him away. Chilena's arm had to be X-rayed; but Dr. Havens has phoned me to say Al will be back with us in time. Now, make sure you're ready; Tyrone and Lacey are already warmed up."

"Good flippin' question," said Alipang to his sister. "I don't know what I expect from her. I know what I _want,_ but not what I can expect. If I had to guess, though, I'd guess a big fat nothing. I think Mrs. Tisdale was just being kind to me when she said Kim liked me."
 
She rubbed his back " Now now Al don't say that I think she does, but doesn't know how to say or show her feeling to you yet it's takes time," she told him.
 
"That's true." Alipang sighed. "It took time for me to be tamed enough that you could stand being around me; but now--" He kissed her gently.
 
She smiled " We girls are different from guys why don't know how to tell guys how we feel because most of time we get hurt if we do," she told him, looking down now.
 
"Well, if Kim ever felt enough for me that my behavior toward her even mattered to her, she'd find I'd rather have ALL my ribs broken than hurt her in ANY way."
 
She looked out of the car's window " Al, you're just so clueless. Sometimes if Kim really cares about you, she will let you know.
If she didn't care so much about you, she won't be there for you. She won't care if you had a comma. She won't care about you, not
because you did something dumb, but for being you," she told him

Both siblings were forgetting that their father was hearing them as he drove.

"Chilena," Dr. Havens said sternly, "After all the times Alipang has listened to you tell your feelings without criticizing you, you have no business using that tone of voice with him."
 
"On Labor Day in Virginia? Honey, are you joking, or do you think you're getting sick again?"

Meanwhile, Alipang was thinking: Warm, then withdrawn. Warm, then withdrawn. Is Kim going to be like Chilena that way if I ever DO get anywhere with her?
 
" No, I'm fine dad," she told him, with a smile then slide next to AL laying her head on his shoulder " Kim you let you know if she likes you Al please don't worry about her. when the time comes she be there for you," she told him, closing her eyes.
 
Still no explanation of why she turned crabby, thought Alipang; just cozies up to me AS IF she never snapped at me. And no explanation of the part about heat, either....Is Chilena just trying to train me for girls being unpredictable? But he let her head rest on him undisturbed.
 
"Urrrk! Sweets, poke--a little higher--next time." He took a gasping breath, followed by a more normal one. "What--is it, sweets?"
