She kissed him back " Want me to fix us something to eat?," she asked, rubbing her left arm " First can yo scratch my arm for me please?," she asked.

Yes, we are resuming school. Poor Alipang still has to sit next to Kim in two classes...

========================

Wilson Kramer was glad that his son Quinn was an early riser like him; it gave them time each morning to talk and pray together. After driving Quinn to General Longstreet School, which was near the park by the same name, Kramer headed to East High to resume his security duties before any students were inside.

ooc: Thanks again, CF.

ic: Jen woke up feeling a little groggy. She hit the "snooze" button and rolled over to catch another few minutes of shut-eye.

---

Dan, meanwhile, was awake and peppy, ready for another day of educational "fun".

Answering GV's post

As he had done the previous day, Alipang did the best job of itch-elimination he could for her. Staying close when he finished this, he shifted right into giving her a squishy hug. "And yes, I'm hungry; I'm not sure I had any kind of supper last night, besides the ice cream at Rafferty's."

"Probably a month. Let's go have breakfast." They stood with arms still around each other, and hugged afresh before heading for the kitchen.

Meanwhile, at the LeMarque house, Cindy got out of bed...and fell sprawling onto the floor. Her dizziness was worse, which must mean the brain tumor was growing...

Alipang proved he had meant what he said about being hungry. Even moping about yesterday, and utterly dreading having to sit next to Kim in Trigonometry, did not stop him from eating heartily.

Dr. Havens had a father-son talk with Alipang before driving him to school; part of what he said was this:

"Al, I know that since we threw you out of the nest school-wise, every confrontation you've had was thrust upon you; and you have acted from the best of motives. Unless maybe in your stunt _letting_ that thug Rocknose hit you, I hardly see how you _could_ have done anything any differently than you did. Still, you need to realize the consequences of being a feared gunslinger in the cowboy town.

"I already have patients hinting to me--always _after_ I finish my work on their teeth ;) --about how they hear that kids at East are afraid of making you angry. What _I'm_ afraid of is that people stupidly swallowing your tough-guy publicity, without looking into the facts, will be ready to judge you wrongly in some future incident. For this reason, although I know you _don't_ pick fights, I'm asking you to be proactive about finding ways to let people see more of your kind and generous side, which I know is really dominant in you..."

Fred Warner, the Vice-Principal, was in charge of things at East High today. He gave Wilson Kramer the official explanation that Mrs. Lewiston was taking a sick day.

What the Principal was really feeling sick about was the fact that Mac the skateboarder had gotten himself arrested (by Mr. Kramer, in his capacity as a county deputy) for assault at the city picnic. All of her efforts to fill that boy with enough self-love that he would have some love to spare for OTHER people, had failed. Now Mrs. Lewiston didn't know which approach would be more politically correct: to sympathize with Mac, because society MUST be to blame for any criminal's crimes--or with his target Chilena, because females MUST be in the right in any conflict with males.

It never crossed the Principal's mind to decide on her sympathies based on WHO HAD DONE WRONG; for her, everything had to fit in the parameters of identity politics and victim groups.

OOC: The shop teacher--call him Mr. Trask or Travers. To ask if he could make it a class project to build the boosting rails for Summer's Dad to lift himself on.

"Sure, Summer. Did your Dad enjoy the picnic yesterday? I wasn't able to attend, but I've heard that he went with you and Mrs. Heron, and I was glad to know that he got out of the house."
