Peter & Caspian fighting scene

^Maybe.

But hey, didn't Caspian and Peter meet in the cave at Aslan's How? They couldn't have any more time to fight after killing Nikabrik and the others.

I doubt that Caspian was testing Peter, Peter may have been practicing for the fight with Miraz, Remember Ed got to practice with Trumpkin, but Peter did not get that chance.

I think they'd understand that they're related....but Peter would always defend his sister's honor. Not that this will be an issue really, I don't think that's what they're fighting over.

The story will be changed some. Yes they're supposed to meet at Aslan's How, but the script writers (Marcus and McFeely) from the production blog have them meeting earlier in the story. From the other spoiler events like Caspian Kid's audition info, they're going to make Caspian a lot more self-assured than he was in the book. I don't think they'll have him in awe of Peter in the movie like he was in the book at all. I'm not sure why they're fighting. We'll have to wait and see since it wasn't in the book at all. Caspian should have been in awe of Peter and the other Pevensies and was always respectful.

Also, I'm not sure what they'll do with Nikabrik...I'm not sure that he will be as bad in the movie as in the book. We'll have to wait and see.

Not to sound rude or anything........ but.. that SUCKS!

Sounds like someone's giving Caspian an ego-makeover.

If I'm not mistaken.. wasn't it BECAUSE of his humbleness and lack of confidence in himself that Aslan proclaimed he would be a great king?

I agree Pink Cheetah, but there's not much we can do. I am sad though that the same writing team is getting to do the script for VDT and without Andrew's help this time. It doesn't inspire much confidence. We'll have to wait and see what happens and how it all plays out before we can comment too much.

It may be that Andrew's Help (or interferance) is what caused many of the changes to the book that we are going to see in PC, I know that the Susan fighting scene was Andrew's doing, Douglas Gresham said so in the thing on Narnia web about Susan fighting:

Orginally posted by Narnia Web
Susan Fighting In Prince Caspian
We have confirmed that Susan’s involvement in fighting in the new movie was a decision made jointly by co-producer Douglas Gresham and director Andrew Adamson. Mr Gresham said they came to a compromise, "which is what must always happen in logical and intelligent discussion between two folks with a shared aim but with slightly different approaches as to how to achieve it. Andrew made some very good points and I hope I did also, and we came to the conclusions which will be evidenced on screen when you see Prince Caspian."
"But just by the way there is nothing at all wrong with being a girly girl, believe it or not and in the face of much modern fashion, girls are supposed to be girls, and not poor imitations of boys," he added.

The Dawn Treader will be different, Michael Apted is not writing the Script with them but Douglas Gresham will still have a say in the script. It is also one of the most clean cut books in terms of continuity of the storyline; there is not as much "these main characters are here while these others are here" in the Dawn Treader.

*gasp* Really? Oh no...... you're sure right. I'm not feeling very confidant right now. :[

I guess I should wait before suspending judgement, but from what I can see so far... the view right now is just plain scary! I hope they don't, you know, bring shame on Narnia... that would be horrible. :(

OH come on guys......cheer up. Just think of all the good things about the movies. It's not all bad. I mean, it could've ended up a lot worse. Andrew is pretty good. And I'm pretty sure Michael Apted will be good too.

What's the point of having a great director if the screenwriter won't stick to the book?

Sorry... I'm feeling kind of upset about that.

i feel you pc. *hugs* it really stinks. hopefully everything will turn out ok. i really really hope they keep "me" in the movie! cuz i'll be looking for myself!

Again, I will say that I think that Andrew was responsible for at least some of the changes the screenwriters made, at any rate he approved them.

You're probably right.

According to IMDb, this is who wrote the movie:

Andrew Adamson..........screenplay
C.S. Lewis...................novel
Christopher Markus........screenplay
Stephen McFeely..........screenplay
