Peter & Caspian fighting scene

That would be Caspian and Peter fighting. I still don't get why they would be since they never did in the book. In the book Caspian looked at Peter with awe, reverence, wonder, and a sense that he just met the biggest celebrity ever. He held Peter in high regard. Before the Pevensies got there Caspian had made several mistakes with battles and Peter came in and started setting things right. He started showing Caspian how to be a real king. I don't know what the characters will be portrayed like in the film. I'm getting the idea that Caspian is more full of himself rather than a younger man with a learning heart. Caspian wasn't supposed to get that cockey till Voyage of the Dawn Treader...but he was never that way with Peter. We'll have to wait and see what's done with them in the film. Peter's character was greatly weakened in the first film and drastically altered as well. Who knows what will happen this time.

The thing is I have heard conflicting stories about the way Peter is supposed to be in the movie from interviews with two different persons connected with it, and neither of them was Andrew.

I do hope that they're not really fighting for some stupid reason. Caspian couldn't "test" if Peter was really the High King, because like what Julie said, when Caspian met Peter, it's like he met the biggest celebrity ever. And he was supposed to be afraid of fighting his uncle. He was aided by the Old Narnians so that's what made him brave. He wasn't supposed to be that tough until VOTD.

yes but he was injured...that's why Peter didn't let him. Also because Miraz didn't take Caspian seriously. Just thought of him as a kid.

I'm getting confused...Peter and Caspian have no need to fight! LOL
Oh, good Lord, I hope they don't change Caspian's character.
'Cause that boy is one of the coolest guys in Narnia. =^_^=

Andrew Adamson did a great and awesome job with the first...why shouldn't he do the same with the second? It seemed like everybody was having fun and things turn out better when you're having fun :)

I am pretty leery of this scene myself. I agree that Peter and Caspian have no need to fight. And from what you can see in the production blog it looks as if they are trying to kill each other!

Look here and you can see the second part of this same move during the fight as they wrote it up in the storyboard.

go to the second picture in "drawing Caspian"

I don't really think that looks like practice...

It looks like Peter swings at Caspian's neck when he is up against a tree. Caspian ducks and gives Peter a hefty kick in the middle that sends him flying...
