Pirates II -- Come on, Be A Pirate (Please do not delete)

ooc: Actually, if you look back a page you'll see that Twilight is back on the ship....
Fyn smiled at Machia going on and on at how worthless the crew was, but then she grew serious. "Machia, none of us have seen Twilight for weeks..."

"Arrrrr... Ye tell that ter Headless Bill... Twilight 'bout ran over him with a cannon jus' now..." He gave a short laugh, "Gar, Twilight be down below on the gun deck Fyn..."

Fish came up next to them (ooc- wow...I almost forgot that we can't teleport! :D). "Matey, what do ye mean, 'we haven't seen Twilight fer weeks'?" Fish asked Fyn with concern in her voice. "Ye mean, she still be on that island? We really did leave without her? Arr...if I had guessed, I'd've said she snuck on the ship, but if ye still haven't seen her...well, it t'ain't like Twilight to grudge this long!"

"Arrrrr... well, Fish, have ye done a though inpection o' this piece o' junk? Is the carpentry o' the wizard's cronies acceptable?"

ooc- oh, ok then... haha, we've all been absent so long I'm lost in the storyline...oh well... :D

ic- "Acceptable? Ha! I would never give it such a rating! More like 'troll'. (ooc- ok, ok, I'm done...:D)" Fish said bitterly. "I'll be working fer weeks to git this up to me standards. Arrr... bunch o' ol' fools. None o' them are gittin' near a hammer, unless it be mine whacking 'em on the head." Fish said longingly. "And what about ye? Anythin' interesting catch yer eye?"

"Arrr... jus' them silly lookin' costumes what they call uniforms, that they're wearin'... an' those usless swords they're all carryin'... Not good fer anythin' but bein' jus' fer show, 'tain't good fer any real fightin'..." Machia scowled as he fished another apple from his pocket... "Gar, an' I forgot the most thing..." He took a bite from his apple and looked down at it in disgust... "These earth apples are terrible..." He spit the bits of chewed apple over the side of the railing and tossed the half eaten apple to Jack the Monkey.... "Arrr.. anyway, 'nuff 'bout apples an' uniforms..." With one swift movement his cutlass flashed out of it's sheath and a pistol flew into his hand... He fired a blank from the pistol into the air and bellowed to the crew on the deck...

"ARRRRR!! OI! Ye bunch o' worthless pond scum! I challenge any o' ye, who's brave enough... Gar, or stupid enough, to a duel... The winner will be well rewarded..." The First Mate drew out of his pocket a small bag of gold... "Arrrrr... so who be up to it?" He smiled to himself.... "Arrrrr.... Well, this is one way to get the crew ready fer battle..."

Fish smiled. "Well, matey, I'd take ye up on that offer, but remember what happened last time?" She asked mock-serenely, looking pointedly towards his wrist. "And I jest wouldn't feel right taking yer money after I beat ye... I'd probably spend it on apple pies fer ye jest to cusion me own guilt... Nay...let's see, who could we pair ye up with? Arr...how 'bout Cortinez o'er thar?" Fish nodded toward a rather sloppy and wimpy looking pirate. "Aye, now there'd be an...interesting...duel."

ooc- Chels, I don't think any of us have a clue about storyline. Tiff posted (or PMed us?) some storyline ideas, and I think we should install one of those, but right now I think we're just winging it...:)

OOC-HOLY SPIT I'VE BEEN GONE!

IC-The foes of Prussia were driven back in a series of long, bloody battles full of decapitated soldiers, blown off limbs and screams of agony. The bayonettes of the Prussians and the cold steel of Numenore earned fame and fear that day...

ooc: Sean, you really kinda need to show us how what YOU'RE doing ties into what WE'RE doing. Y'know?

ooc: No, no, with Sean you don't wonder how it ties in... You wonder if it ties in at all... :p And funnily enough the answer is usually 'No' ;)... However, sooner or later Sparky will come flying towards our ship, land not-so-gracefully on the railing, (Tipping the boat in the process.) and after he's tried to pull some practical jokes on a couple dozen Pirates and Twilight or I have threatened to shove a cannon ball down his scaly throat, he'll turn into a knight again and then we'll hear how what he's been doing ties in with the storyline... Hopefully... ;):D

ooc: Aye, I know... We have to come up with some way to resurrect the thread...

ic: Suddenly from the crows nest of the Dauntless a voice cried "Land ho!". The First Mate heard it from the storage deck where he had been taking inventory of the ship's supplies.... He automaticaly tried to teleport onto the deck, before remembering they couldn't teleport any more... Muttering under his breath about the inconvenience, Machia climbed the stairs that led to the deck... "Arrrr... What is it?" Machia yelled up to the lookout in the crows nest as he crossed the deck... "Looks like a trading port of some kind, sir." came the reply... The First Mate reached the railing on the starboard side of the ship and reached for his spyglass which flew out of his pocket and into his hand... "Arrr... Yer right..." He said peering through the spyglass... "It's a merchant's port alright... Run by the British Navy if I'm right... They're flyin' the same flag we were when we took over this ship, an' I see some war ships anchored in the harbor..." He put his splyglass back in his pocket, a slight scowl on his face...

"Gar, if Saruman's workin' with the Navy, it'd be dangerous to go anywhere near a port run by them..." he sighed, "Arrr... But unfortunately we're gettin' very low on supplies aboard the ship... We'd have ter run inter another port what sells supplies an' tisn't run by the Navy pretty soon if we don't stop here... An' there might not be another port for a long time..." He turned towards Norrington who was manning the helm and shouted, "Arrrr.... Bring us down to half the speed we're at now, Norrington ye scum bag!" Norrington called back an "Aye, sir" and Machia sent a DV all over the ship...

"Arrrrr!! I need the FF an' any other o' the Pirates from the Black Spot who're free, to meet with me in the galley, as soon as possible!" The First Mate shut off his disembodied voice and opened the door leading to the galley... Once inside, he reached for an apple from the bowl on the table and it flew to his hand... Machia sat down in a chair and waited for the others to arrive...

Machia sat down in a chair and waited for the others to arrive...

Fish was the first to arrive. She sighed and looked at Machia. "Mate, I have a feeling I know what this meetin' be about. But if ye remember from three years ago, every port in 100 miles is controlled by the British Navy. And as Saruman now appears to control that....well, ye know what that means. I was thinking- do we still have the British flag that was flyin' when we took over? I know that flying other colors is against every pirate code, but this ain't just a normal navy we be dealing with... If we flew their colors, we might be able to fool 'em long enough to git the supplies we need and git back out. This ship's fixed up fine; we'll be able to out-run almost any ship the navy decides to send after us if they find out who we really are..."

Machia didn't respond but just looked deeper in thought. Fish sighed again and reached for one of Machia's extra apples that was sitting on the table. It flew into her hand. Sitting down, she took a rather large bite out of it and watched Machia curiously, trying to read his thoughts and waiting for the rest of the pirates to show up.

Fyn stumbled into the room, seeing Machia deep in thought and Fish eating an apple. That was an odd scene. Usually Fish was deep in thought and Machia was eating an apple. She didn't know what to think. "I'm here..." she announced quietly, trying not to disrupt the once in a lifetime scene. "What's this about?"

Twilight swaggered into the galley, still sporting a thick coating of powder from her cannon work. "What be up Machia? Are we hankerin fer a good ol' fashioned subterfuge?" She grinned and winked at her fellow pirates. "Should I start prettyin' meself up?" :D

ooc- btw, Lari, I loved your response when you first walked in the room. I was laughing so hard! :D

ic- "ye know, Twilight, that ain't such a bad idea." Fish looked back at Machia, "Mate, do we have enough time to make the few sets o' British clothin' that we have look presentable? We can send nine or ten o' us out thar, then, and we'll be blendin' in perfectly."
"Aye, I be thinking we have 'bout a day or so. I want any mate that can sew well to be working on that clothin', then. Saruman knows what we look like, but few of his new goons do. The more we blend in, the better. Any other ideas?"

Fyn smiled. "You look just beautiful Twilight! You must show me where you got that coat..."

"Of course Matey. I just can't be sure, be methinks I got it from the found-it-at-the-bottom-of-me-dad's-old-sea-chest boutique. Kinda a hard place fer such high born ladies such as ourselves to find, but they have the best stuff." She punched Fyn playfully and smiled at her fellow pirates, just happy to be back in the swing of thier piratey plans. "I'm all fer the foolin the brits plan, but we will probably need to clean ourselves up a bit. And is IOWW still a prisoner there?"

ooc: You're welcome. :p I almost added I hope they didn't switch personalities...:p

Fyn smiled. "And you make it look totally GORGEOUS!" She then grew more serious. "I don't know..." she said looking to Fish and Machia.
