Playing in the Queen of Hearts' Castle

I finally made it through fourteen pages worth of posts. My thanks to Copperfox for once again admirably filling in.

Also, just a note to watch the PDA's...family friendly :)

Lady Inkling nods to the newcomer, complimenting her on her fashion sense, since black is always slimming. She leads Trinity to the spare room where Edmund and Hannah are, having used the queen's state-of-the-art security cameras to locate them.

When they're all together, she pulls out a proper English high tea from her satchel (how much she can hold in there is a continual mystery) and gracefully serves them all.

"We have need of sustenance before we face the next obstacle," she sensibly says.

They are suddenly joined by unexpected company. The Lion approaches, moving backwards, apparently being driven back by a spirited assault by the Unicorn. But when the combatants reach a certain point, the Lion, staggering from a hoof-blow, "accidentally" falls against the nearest surveillance camera, knocking it off the wall and smashing it. As soon as this happens, the Unicorn stops attacking, and the Lion addresses Lady Inkling:

"Would you happen to have a couple of wider dishes that we could lap some of that liquid from? The King never has allowed us to try drinking tea."

Peter: Yes, we know Aslan. and yes, we could use a hand.
Susan: We're trying to keep an eye on that shadow, there.
Me: Look! It's moving towards the door!

OOC: Inkling-the-actual-person may be a little confused about who is located where; I know that I have been, more than once. But it can all be reconciled if we assume that the tea-party-out-of-a-satchel scene happened BEFORE Trinity introduced herself to Alice.

"I must confess that Aslan offers a happier future than the reality I was in," said the slim-but-strong woman. "Speaking of which, let me see if I've been allowed to retain the abilities I had there..."

Trinity jumps feet-first at the nearest wall, as if thinking she can walk on it with her body jutting out horizontally in disregard for gravity. But here, gravity refuses to be disregarded--and Trinity falls flat on the floor. "Great," she mutters; "and I don't have a gun, either."

"But perhaps you're familiar with these," offers Peter, detaching a dagger-sheath from his boot and offering the sheathed weapon to the newcomer.

Trinity cheers up a bit. "Yes, I am familiar with knives, thank you."

Me: That's wonderful, guys; but have you noticed that the tilt in the room has increased?
Susan: Yes, I've noticed that. It's very strange.
Me: It's slanting that way. Gosh! The door is way up there now!
The four found themselves standing and looking up an impossible wall at the door. The room was now very crazily tilted to one side.

Nessa and Eric are a bit lost in their search for the others. Eric offers to take the Boat but Nessa refuses.

Me: You never know what will happen...hidden whirlpools are a bit too much
Eric: Don't worry! We are not going to take the boat if you don't want to.

Suddenly Eric notices a bike. This motorbike was the one Trinity used so Eric walks up to the bike.

Eric: What's this bike doing here?
Me: I don't know. It musty belong to someone
Eric: It sure does. I can't imagine the Queen riding a bike although you never know
Me: What are we gonna do next?
Eric: I ride a bike in my real world so get on and let's search for Peter and Alice
Me: But what if the owner shows up? I don't want to get into trouble
Eric: Wait!

Eric turns around and calls the Hatter and the Rabbit.

Eric: Do you know the owner of this bike?
Hatter: No, I have no idea
Eric: If someone searches for this bike tell them I took it and will bring it back. We are searching for our friends and we don't want to use the boat again. So tell the person Eric Lindros took the bike
Me: And say Nessa went with Eric so that makes me responsable as well
Hatter: Are the keys still in it?
Eric: Yes, strangely they do
Hatter: Someone wouldn't leave their keys behind? But here are no thieves so everything which will be taken in this wonderland will automatically returned to the right owner
Eric: So when we get off the bike, the bike will return to the place where the original owner left it?
Hatter: That's right
Eric: That's good news! Nessa get on and hold me because I'm going to drive fast!
Rabbit: I want to come too!

Nessa gets on the bike

Me: But where do you want to sit? There is not much room left!
Hatter: The White Rabbit is smaller than you considering he is a Rabbit so you can hold him
Me: Okay, come on!

Hatter helps the White Rabbit on the bike and Nessa holds him.

Hatter: I think it's more save if the Rabbit holds you Nessa because you must hold Eric otherwise you will fall off
Eric: She surely must! I'm going full speed and I don't want to loose her.
Rabbit: What about me?
Eric: I don't want to loose you too, so don't worry
Hatter: Okay, put your arms around her neck Rabbit and then you can go

Eric starts the bike and Nessa wraps her arms around his waist because she never had been on a bike before and was a bit afraid and the Rabbit holds Nessa tightly

Eric: Hold on! Here we go!

Eric drives away fullspeed and both Nessa and the Rabbit closed their eyes because Eric drives very fast.

Hatter: A hockeyplayer, a young woman and a Rabbit on a bike
Cat: It's a weird sight but I never have been on a bike myself
The Hedgehog: I can run fullspeed but I don't think I can go this fast

Me: What do we do now?
Peter: Search for another way out.
Susan: But we ought to keep an eye on that shadow, still. I don't like it. It's moving this way again.

Eric laughs when he hears his passengers scream.

Eric: Are you two scared? There's no need to!
Me: Are you okay Rabbit?
Rabbit: I believe I'm still alive!
Me: Yes you are! But you are about to strangle me!
Rabbit: What would you expect? He's driving sooooo fast!!!!

Nessa hides her head against Eric's back while the White Rabbit hides his head on Nessa's shoulder.

Eric: You two are funny! I'm not going to cause accidents
Me and Rabbit: But you are a hockeyplayer!
Eric: So what? It doesn't mean I can't drive!!!!!
Me: We are not saying you can't drive but we are ehm...just..ehm...
Eric: Scared!!! HIHIHIHI! Just hold me and you won't fall!

Alice hears Trinity muttering, "This would have been a GOOD time for me to be still able to walk up walls!"

Me: Eric...do you see anything yet?
Eric: No but they can't be far away
Rabbit *whispers*: I never understand why people love to ride a bike
Me *whispers*: It's easier to get through the traffic and during summer it's nicer than driving a car but don't ask me
Eric: Nessa! Are you still alive?
Me: Yes! Why?
Eric: I just ask! I don't hear you anymore!
Me: If I was dead you wouldn't have felt my arms because I would have fallen off the bike
Eric: That's true! And the Rabbit?
Me: He's still here with me! This poor thing...he's feeling cold!

Eric drives on a road outside the Castle and decides to go through the woods.

Me: Eric! What are you doing?
Eric: This is fun!
Me: You fool! How on earth can we find them off the road on the other side of the gardens?
Eric: We can always try
Me: I don't want to sound negative but aren't we a bit far from the gardens now?
Rabbit: It looks like we are but these woods belong to the Queen as well so we will find our way back

Peter: *peers down* Yeah, but how will we get down without hurting ourselves?
Me: I don't know.
Susan: The room is starting to tilt again.....
Me: *screams, falls through the trap door as the room tilts*

Eric suddenly has to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting the visitors from the Chess Kingdoms, who are starting for home after their Queens finished playing croquet with the Queen of Hearts. "THE" White Knight, still looking like Lloyd Bridges, is there, and greets Nessa courteously.

Meanwhile, back at the emergency, Trinity dives to try to help Alice, while Peter is trying to help Susan.

Their efforts are futile, as Alice is obviously gone, and the three stand around looking down.
Susan: *screams* Alice!
No answer.

With her borrowed knife, Trinity tries to force open the trapdoor.

"I'm fearing the worst," moans Susan.

"You mean, that she's dead?" asks Peter.

"No--I'm afraid that now she's going to saddle up a horse, ride off on a narcissistic ego-stroking solo quest, and ignore the rest of us for the duration of this roleplay."

"No," says Peter, "she wouldn't do that."

Me: Eric! I think we should return now
Eric: You might be right here my lady
Me: I don' think they are here
Eric *laughs* : I don't think so either
Me: You silly one! You only loved to ride this bike!
Eric: You got it right! No, not only because of that but I think they are a long way from us
Rabbit: Return to the Castle and let me see

Eric turns around and drives back. The White Rabbit suddenly screams.

Rabbit: I'm going to leave the two of you here
Me: Why?
Rabbit: Because I have a feeling they are not that far away from here and over there is a mountain which has a hole I can go through but you can't
Me: But where do we meet you?
Rabbit: Go back to the castle and drive the way you did before your friend took the road
Me: You mean along the river?
Rabbit: Yes, but take the right side and not the left side because it will lead to a dead end, forcing you to take the boat
Me: So we have to follow the right side of the river?
Rabbit: That's right and at the end of the river I will join the two of you again if you don't get lost or if you aren't dead yet...considering your friend's ridiculous speed
Eric: Don't worry! I will take care of our lady over here
Rabbit: That's what I'm afraid off

Pippin persuades the Gryphon who helped him to give him a ride, flying out over the woods and river to search for Vanessa and her idol.

Merry watches his friend flying away.

Merry: Pippin! Why are you in a hurry?
Pippin: I must find them! I must find Nessa and this hockeyplayer
Merry: Where are they?
Pippin: I have no clue, that's why I'm searching! I'll be back later!!

Nessa falls almost asleep when they are driving and Eric feels himself gettiung tired as well.

Eric: This is strange. I suddenly feel so tired
Me: I can't keep my head up Eric. I am sooo tired...

Nessa's head falls against Eric's back and soon she falls asleep.
Eric has difficulties to stay awake and wonders why so sudden they both are so sleepy.

Eric *whispers*: I must stay awake. If I fall asleep now we both are getting into real trouble.

Nessa is so deep asleep she starts to glid off the bike. Eric notices this and breaks.

Eric: Nessa! Nessa! Wake up! This is dangerous!!

Eric feels sleepy and tries hard to stay awake. Nessa opens her eyes.

Me: Eric? What is going on? I'm so sleepy.....
Eric: Me too Nessa, me too
Me: I can hardly keep my eyes open
Eric: There is something wrong with the air
Me: Look! Who are those?

Nessa and Eric notice the poppies and remembers the Wizard of Oz scene.

Eric: These Poppies are causing it! In Wizard of Oz it started to snow but I doubt it will happen here. Come on Nessa and let us continue our journey!
Me: But I'm soooo tired
Eric: Me too but we have to leave now!

Eric looks around and to his horror he sees the bike is gone

Eric: Oh no!! The bike has returned to the place where it belongs! Like the Rabbit said. We must find a way back now
Me: But I want to sleep!
Eric *who is suddenly fully awake*: No you can't. Not now! Come one!

Eric helps Nessa on her feet and grabs her hand and starts to run.

Eric: Come on! Faster! We must reach the mountain!
Me: I can't help it...I'm so sleepy

Nessa falls asleep
