The character played by Liu Chia-Hui in the 1970's kung-fu movie "Heroes of the East" (a.k.a. "Challenge of the Masters") is passing by just then, looking for the Monologues thread. His Shaolin-trained senses detecting the first hint of drugged air, he uses his ability to hold his breath for incredible periods and still function. Finding Eric and Vanessa, he slings one over each shoulder, and walks along with them until he can tell that he's out of the affected area. Then he sets them down, uses acupressure to bring them back to consciousness, and says in strange dubbed English which doesn't match his mouth movements, "I'm called Ah-To, no pun on automobiles intended. Are you two all right?"

Me: Wha-wha-what happened?
Eric: Did we fall asleep?
Ah-To *nodds*: it does look so but I got you two out
Eric: Thanks! I have no clue what we were doing
Me: The same with me......I have forgotten everything
Ah-To: You were lying in a field surrounded by Poppies. I took you out but now you must get your memories back
Eric: The only thing I can remember is we stopped because Nessa almost felt of the bike
Me: Yes and you woke me up
Eric: And then you felt asleep again
Ah-To: So did you. But tell me where were you two looking for?
Eric: I don't remember anymore
Me: I don't know either

Eric gets up and suddenly sees a gryphon coming

Pippin: There they are! Nessa! Nessa!
Me: Pippin?

Pippin lands and runs towards Nessa and Eric.

Pippin: Here you are! I was looking for you everywhere
Me: What are we doing here Pip?
Pip: I don't know. You two went away on a bike but nobody knew what you were doing
Eric: I remember! We were looking for Alice and Peter
Pippin: They seem to be in a cave or something
Me: Where?
Pippin: Back in the gardens or maybe a bit outside...I don't know exactly

Ah-To, his work done, continues his journey to the Monologues thread, where there's really more space for kung-fu stuff than in a thread based on "Alice in Wonderland."

Me: Pip, what are we going to do now?
Pippin: Don't ask me. I was searching for you, ehm, the both of you
Eric: We can't walk all this way back!
Pippin: You possibly have to but I can always fly back with the gryphon
Me: We must cross that mountain
Eric: I don't know if that's a good idea
Me: We must do something if we want to get back
Pippin: You climb that mountain and I will fly with the gryphon and watch you
Me: Hobbits...........
Eric: Come on. We must start anyway so come on

Eric and Nessa start their long walk and climb the mountain while Pippin flis to the top of the mountain

Pippin: There's a boat over there!
Me and Eric: No boat!
Pippin: You have no choice if you want to be back before dark
Eric: Sigh....alright. Come on Nessa...let's go
Pippin: Wait! It's frozen!
Eric: It is? That's excellent news!!

Eric puts on his skates

Me: Lucky you!
Eric: Don't you have skates?
Me: Nope
Eric: But you are dutch so you know how to skate
Me: Of course! Every child in my country know how to skate but I don't have skates with me
Eric: So how are you gonna cross that river?
Me: On my two feet! I will just run and glide a part. It's fun!
Eric: But it will take hours! I know something better. If you will hold my hockeystick I will pull you forward
Me: Great idea!

Eric pulls Nessa forward when she holds the hockeystick and Pippin flies above them shouting some couraging words.

Pippin: That's funny!

The trap door now open, they all kneel down around it and try to see inside. Peter: It looks like a long way down, I - I don't think she could have survived a drop like that.
Susan: Oh Peter! *sobs*
Peter: Alice! If you can hear me, say something! Alice!
Suddenly, they hear a very faint call.
Me: Peter! I'm down here!
Peter: Thank goodness! Are you alright?
Me: I - I don't know yet. It's awfully wet, though.

* Hannah lays back on the chair*

Me: What's going on?

* Looks at them with a confuse look on her face*

Me: Ed is everything all right?

Peter: Can you see anything?
Me: No, I can't, it's too dark!
Susan: How are we going to get her out, Peter?
Peter: I wish I knew.

Nessa enjoys being pulled forward on the ice. Both are laughing while Pippin enjoys his view on top of the gryphon.

Pippin: You seem to have a lot of fun
Me: We have indeed! It has been such a long time since I last was pulled forward
Eric: I'm doing all the hard work here while she is doing nothing
Pippin: Blame it on yourself
Eric: Thanks a lot little one!

Suddenly Eric jumps to avoid a hole in the ice and forgets Nessa is still holding the stick. Nessa tumbles and falls into the water.

Eric: That was close!!
Pippin: NESSA!

Eric looks around and quickly skates to the hole. He immidiatly lies himself on his belly and puts the stick into the hole.

Eric: Nessa! Grab the stick! I'll get you out!!
Pippin: Down! Down! Quick!

The gryphon lands and Pippin jumps off it's back and rushes to the hole and immidiatly dives on his belly.

Pippin: Is she out of there?
Eric: Get the stick! Grab it!

Nessa grabs the stick and both Pippin and Eric grab her arms and get her up.
Eric grabs Nessa her hand and checks her pols.

Eric: Are you alright?
Me: I'm sooo cold!
Eric: But you are out the cold water now
Pippin: Eric! Look!

Eric and Pippin watch when the see Nessa's legs are starting to turn into a frozen statue.

Eric: WHAT IS THAT?!
Pippin: She is freezing! She turns into a statue!
Eric: OMG! We must get out of here!

Slowly Nessa is turning colder and colder. Eric holds her to keep her warm and signs at Pippin.

Eric: Pippin! Quick! Go back and ask help! I think this is another spell or trick the Queen has done to keep enemies out! Get help! I will try to keep her warm before she turns into a statue completely

Pippin jumps on the Gryphon and flies away full speed. Soon he reaches the Hatter.

Pippin jumps of the Gryphon before it has landed.

Pippin: I need help! Nessa is fallen into a hole in the ice and now she is turning into a statue!
Hatter: OMG! The river of joy! The name confuses people but in reality it's the doomed river. We need the Rabbit. He knows how to break this spell.

Pippin and The Hatter both jump on the Gryphon and fly away.

Eric tries to keep Nessa warm and is heavily shocked when he sees she has turned into a statue until her waist.

Eric: Hold on girl! Help is on it's way and should be here any minute!
Me: I-I-I-I-I...c-c-c-cold....n-n-n-not..sp-sp-speak......

Eric carries Nessa off the ice and decides to make some fire.

Eric: I'm staying here and will try to keep you warm. Don't give up yet!

Eric grabs Nessa's hands but they are so cold he has to put his gloves on. Then he puts his gloves on Nessa her hands.
Eric: It might not help much but maybe it will help a bit to stop this aweful process

Eric tries to keep Nessa awake.

Eric: Nessa! Nessa! Say something! No matter what but say something!

Nessa her face is turned blue from the cold and she doesn't reply at Eric. Eric feels a panic but he has to hold himself. He holds Nessa and tries to warm her and he looks to the sky.

Eric: Come on Pip! Come on!

The Hatter and Pippin fly on the Gryphon in search of the Rabbit. They see him standing.

Rabbit: I heard a scream
Hatter: This might be the hockeyplayer
Rabbit: What happened?
Hatter: The girl felt into the river of joy
Rabbit: OMG! Then she will turn into a frozen statue
Hatter: That's why we were searching for you
Rabbit: How long ago did this happen?
Pippin: Just an hour ago
Rabbit: We have no time to loose! Take me to her
Hatter *climbs off the Gryphon*: Go ahead
Rabbit* climbs on the Gryphon: Let's go then!

Edmund and Hannah heard the same scream a bit before and sign to the Gryphon when he flies back.

Edmund: What is going on?
Rabbit: Follow us! Try to follow the direction we are flying. It might be a long walk but any help is appreciated. Take some warm blankets!

The Gryphon flies away with Pippin and the Rabbit on it's back and Hannah and Edmund take some blankets and follow the direction the Gryphon is flying

Edmund tells Hannah, "Lady Inkling came to offer us tea. I had some, and we were joined by a mysterious woman in black, not nearly as beautiful as you or Lady Inkling, but well-built and obviously athletic. The woman calls herself Trinity, but I don't know if she's a Christian. She went to find Peter and Susan."

================

At the trapdoor, Trinity tells Peter, "If you'll hold my wrists and lower me as far as you can, I'll risk dropping down to where Alice is. I should be dead anyway--thanks to the STUPID script of the last Matrix movie--so I have the least to lose."

Edmund: What are we going to do now? Do we have to follow the gryphon or must we follow this Trinity lady?

Eric waits impatiently till help is coming when he suddenly feels a very deep cold inside of him as well.

Eric: What is this? Am I going to turn into a statue as well?

Pippin starts to feel a cold coming up as well.

Rabbit: What is it?
Pippin: I feel a cold coming up
Rabbit: Wait....have you touched the water?
Pippin: To get Nessa out yes
Rabbit: And Eric?
Pippin: He held her and tried to keep her warm. Emergency of course
Rabbit: Then we have no time to loose
Pippin: Why?
Rabbit: Because it won't take long before Eric will turn into an ice statue as well and so are you
Pippin: ME?!
Rabbit: That's why we must hurry up! Nessa is first but I bet the hockeyplayer will be next if he isn't going to change already

Like the surging of an incoming tide, a change in temperature--only "less freezing" at first--begins to make itself felt. From less freezing, to NOT freezing, to almost warm, to actually warm, it builds. With the warmth, a sound builds: a rumbling which develops into a roar--a happy roar, if one can imagine this.

And all at once, Aslan is standing there, and the victims of the sorcerous cold find themselves restored to normal. The great Lion mildly but firmly tells Eric, "Perhaps if you had not been so eager to dash off on impulsive adventures with an attractive woman who admires you, none of this discomfort would have occurred."

And then the God-Lion vanishes.

Peter: Alright, if you say so. *lowers Trinity down as far as he can*
Trinity: All right, drop me.
Peter let's go of Trinity's wrists and far below them they hear a soft thud.
Susan: Are you alright?
Trinity: Yes, I'm fine; now to find Alice.
Me: I'm over here! *screams*
Peter: What's going on?
Trinity sounded very nervous as she answered.
Trinity: I can't see very well down here, but it looked to me like the ground just swollowed her up!

Eric: Who was that?
Me: This was Aslan from CoN. He is the Mighty Lion we must respect
Eric *blushes*: But I didn't take you on an impulsive adventure
Me: You can't say the ride on the bike was going as it should
Eric: Sorry
Me: It's okay
Eric: From no on I will be more careful, alright?
Me: It's okay Eric. We better get out of here although the weather is the best ever
Eric: I never knew a Lion had so much power
Me: Aslan has more power than all the worlds -hidden or not- together. Now come on and let's go.

Eric holds Nessa's hand

Eric: I'm really sory
Me: It's alright. Maybe I was a bit too impulsive as well. Now let's wait till Pip comes back

Pippin: I feel warm and cozy
Rabbit: Aslan did it
Pippin: Aslan?
Rabbit: Yes, Aslan helps when it's needed and He will warn you in the most gentle way. Now...this must bring good news to our two frozen adventurers
Pippin: There they are!
Rabbit *waves*: They seem to be alive and healthy and so do you
Pippin: I am!

Hannah, if you are reacting to Aslan's appearance with Vanessa, you have really good eyesight; Vanessa, Eric and Pippin are something like a mile away from you. But let's say that Aslan comes FROM there to where you are...

==========================

Aslan says to Edmund, "Why are you not with your brother?"

"This place is a maze, that's all," says Edmund.

"Go to him now," says Aslan. "And bring these things with you." In Edmund's hands appear a portable rope ladder, a crowbar, and a flashlight like the one he lost in Caspian-era Narnia. "My breath will cause you to go in the right direction."

So Edmund, with Hannah following, soon rejoins Peter, and they find something to anchor the ropeladder to.

Peter: That's it, I'm going down there!
Susan: Peter, no!
Peter: The room has tilted back, Susan. Go and get help now, while you can!
Susan: Alright, be careful.
Peter: I will. *jumps down the trap door*
Susan: *runs back outside to find someone to help them*
