Playing in the Queen of Hearts' Castle

Sam: So the two of you are married?
Me: Yes
Eric: Indeed we are
Sam: What happened over here?
Me: A lot
Eric: There has been good news and bad news to the Queen and King of hearts. The good news is an evil woman turned good and Alice is the new Queen and the bad news for the former Queen and King is they are banned
Sam: Owww....that's a lot!

Sam and Eric and Nessa walk on. They reach the forrest and a signpost on which is written " 1st Chess Kingdom". A moment later they stand on a mountain and below them lies a gorgeous village. Everything is created in the style of Chess.

Eric *holds Nessa tightly*: AWWWW.....look! How beautiful!
Me: And it's huge! Very huge!
Sam: WHOOOW!!! I have never seen something like this before
Me: Neither have we Sam
Eric: Shall we go down?
Me: It sounds like a good idea. Are you coming with us Sam?
Sam: I'm coming with you


Edmund and Hannah receive a lot of good wishes by the cards people. They are offered a lot of presents
 
Not waiting to see Hannah deliver to Vanessa the one crystal he found, The Grey Eagle streaks through the northern sky in search of the Snow Queen's skua. But the sly bird spots him first, and recognizes him as a friend of the hated Emmett and Jake, whom the skua blames for the Snow Queen's absence.

With a screech of rage, the powerful bird flies at the superhero's face. But Grey Eagle simply uses his heat-control power to raise the temperature inside the skua's brain by three degrees Celsius, causing the creature to faint instantly from the fever effect. Grey Eagle catches him and brings him to earth, where he ties the skua's wings against his body and ties his dangerous beak shut. When the polar bird of prey awakens, the superhero speaks to him:

"Deluded avian, it isn't your fault that you were drawn into the ways of evil. You were influenced by the Snow Queen, who made you feel that you derived greatness from supporting her goals. But there is no greatness to be found in unprovoked aggression against others...and the one whom you served has HERSELF come to realize this. The very Aslan before Whom she fell in powerless fear, she now bows to in grateful worship. She wishes to be able to undo a part of her past evil, by teaching you the truth she has learned. I will untie you in a moment; but first look at this."

Grey Eagle directs the skua's attention to a piece of dead wood lying ten feet away. As the bird's watching eyes widen, the wood, untouched by any fire, begins to smolder, then bursts into flames.

"Don't make me do that to you," Grey Eagle warns the intimidated skua. "You will come with me through the pass to the Monologues dimension, where your former mistress will speak to you. After you have heard her out, you will be free to go where you like; but you will no longer be part of any schemes of conquest."

Released, but quailed by the demonstration of Grey Eagle's power, the skua accompanies him on the way back to Horse-With-No-Name-Ville and the Gunslinger Steakhouse.

Me: what a wonderful sight!
Sam: I love it already!

The three visitors are greeted by a very friendly Chess guard.

Guard: Welcome to the first Chess Kingdom on your way to whatever strangers. I hope you will enjoy your stay and please stop by and have something to eat or to drink. If you need anything, ask our King and Queen

The three continue their walk and soon they see a small house which looks like an inn. They enter it. A group of friendly Chess soldiers are drinking milk and coffee and tea together with a bunch of Chess citizens.

The Chess Man at the bar: Welcome strangers! What do you like to drink?
Eric: Coffee please
Me: Tea...no milk or sugar
Eric: Honey.....the Rabbit and Hatter spoiled you with tea
Chess man: What? Hatter and Rabbit? Do I hear it well? This means you have come from the Heart Kingdom where a new Queen is installed
Me: That's right!
Chess man: And who are you if I might ask?
Eric: I'm Eric and this is my wife Vanessa also better know as Nessa and this is Sam the hobbit
Sam: Nice to meet you sir

After a while one of the Chess guards talks to Eric.

Guard: So you and your wife are here for a holiday or what?
Eric: Yes and no. We got married a short while ago and the Hatter suggested us to take a visit to Croquet Land.
Guard: You married not that long ago?
Eric: No...I believe it's only two days ago
Guard: Call the Chess Bisshop!!

The Chess Bisshop enters

Bisshop: What is going on?
Guard: Bisshop, we have a young couple who most certainly need your blessing upon their maariage
Bisshop: When is the wedding?
Eric: We married just two days ago
Bisshop: Let me bless you!

A ritual starts and the Chess Bisshop reads from the bible and then he blesses Eric and Nessa.

Chess Bisshop: May you find love and God's guidance in your marriage
Eric: Thanks Bisshop. I appreciate it very much!

After a long and nice day Eric, Nessa and Sam continues. Nessa holds sam's hand when they walked on. The hobbit feels a bit tired.

The evening is coming and soon it's getting dark but it is warm wheater. Nessa, Eric and Sam lay down in the grass and Eric holds Nessa tightly. Nessa lies her head against Eric's shoulder while Sam lies his head against Nessa's shoulder and soon they all fall asleep. They don't see a visitor is coming. It's the white Rabbit. As soon as the ceremony was over and the party started he quickly left and followed the young couple and their beloved Hobbit. The Rabbit lies down at the other side of Eric and falls asleep
 
The cat swished his tail. "You know, dear, you haven't been officially crowned the new Queen of Hearts."
"True," said one of the soldiers. "But it's getting late, we can escort you to the castle tomorrow."
Alice nodded. "A senseable idea."
 
In the middle of the night nessa wakes up and sees the moon which shines brightly. She softly grabs Eric's arm and kisses Eric on his cheek and gets up. Then she sees the white Rabbit sleeping.

Me *whispers*: Hey......are you here too my friend?

Nessa kisses the white Rabbit and walks on to the field a bit further. She looks down and sees the beautiful Chess Kingdom they visited earlier. In the moonlight the Kingdom looks even more beautiful. Then she feels someone grabbing her hand. Nessa turns around and sees Sam.

Me: Hello Sam, are you awake?
Sam: Yes, I heard you walk
Me: I'm sorry Sam but I couldn't sleep anymore
Sam: It's okay. Neither can I
Me: Are you coming with me? I go for a walk
Sam: I'm coming

Nessa and Sam walk a bit but not too far. They want to stay close to the others still sleeping. Then suddenly Sam ses a signpost

Sam: Hey....a signpost
Me: Let's take a look!
Sam *reads*: One gemstone must be placed near the Waterfall of Croquet Land
Me: Owww.....this means we must look for a Waterfall
Sam: In Croquet Land
Me: Over there! There is another one! Another signpost
Sam *reads*: The 4 crystals can be found north and south and west and east at the Croquet Land
Me: Perfect! We know what to do next

Sam and Nessa walk a bit further and are amazed how big the first Chess Kingdom actually is.

Sam: It's beautiful
Me: It indeed is

Then the white Rabbit stands behind them

Rabbit: Don't you two need to go back to sleep?
Me: Rabbit!!! You joined us!
Sam: We were awake already
Rabbit: I noticed
Me *yawn*: I think I go back to sleep
Sam: Look Rabbit...isn't it beautiful?
Rabbit: This Kingdom indeed is but wait until you see the thirth Kingdom. It's even more beautiful but the people here are the nicest of all Kingdoms

Nessa walks back and lies down against Eric. Eric opens his eyes

Eric *sleepy*: What were you doing darling?
Me: Me and Sam explored the area a bit and found two signposts
Eric: What was written on them?
Me: One said where we could find the tile to place the gem and the other told us were to fins the four crystals
Eric: Okay....are you going back to sleep now my love?
Me: Yes darling, I'm tired

Eric wraps both his arms around Nessa and kisses her

Eric: Close your eyes and fall asleep. I'm here too and I'm going to sleep as well
Me: Goodnight love
Eric: Goodnight

When the Rabbit and Sam return they find both Nessa and Eric in a deep sleep while holding each other tightly

Sam: The happy couple
Rabbit: But Eric snors
Sam: So does Pippin
Rabbit: Strange, I would have expected him and Merry to be here too. They seem to follow Nessa everywhere
Sam: From what I've heard they teased her a lot
Rabbit: True....but they were never mean
 
Alice lay on her back in the grass, very tired, but for some strange reason, she couldn't go to sleep. So she lay in the grass looking at the stars and counting how many constelations she found. She had found quite a few already.
"Not asleep yet?" said a voice.
Alice turned her head to see the cat, sitting beside her. "Oh, it's just you," she said.
the cat nodded. "Yes, it is."
Alice turned back and continued counting.
 
The cat said nothing more and Alice was content to count the the constelations. Slowly, her eyes closed, and she fell asleep. The cat sat beside her for a little while longer before wandering off to go and do what cats do.
 
Sam is the first to get up in the morning and he goes off to the Chess Kingdom to get some food for breakfast. When he returns the Rabbit is awake and looks at Sam when he starts to cook.

Rabbit: What have you done Sam?
Sam: I went to the Chess Kingdom and asked if they had some food for us. I wanted to pay but they refused. They gave me a couple of cooking stuff. So I made a fire and now I'm making breakfast
Rabbit: You are amazing!
Sam: What about the others? Are they awake?
Rabbit: I think they both are still asleep right now
Sam: Alright....then I can finish my breakfast and will wake them up

Sam gives the Rabbit some food. The Rabbit waits patiently till the others will be awake. Sam walks up to Nessa and Eric.

Sam: Nessa! Eric! Wake up.....breakfast is ready?
Me: Eh??? Wha-wha-wha?
Eric *yawns*: I just had a wonderful dream
Me: Me too
Eric: About me I hope
Sam: Explain it later but come and have breakfast right now

Back at the gardens Pippin is nervous and Merry wonders why

Merry: What is it Pip?
Pip: I wonder where our happy couple went to
Merry: Which out of the three?
Pip: Eric and Nessa
Merry: They went away?
Pip: Since yesterday or maybe before
Merry: They went to the Croquet land as they have been told to do
Pip: And they didn't take us with them?
Merry: Young and married.....alright
Pip: They should have asked us!
Merry: Wait...they are not alone
Pip: What do you mean?
Merry: Have you seen Sam lately?
Pip: Yes, he was over there.....
Merry: When?
Pip: Just after the marriage of Hannah and Edmund
Merry: Nessa and Eric were there too but after the wedding ceremony itself Pip and before the party they left
Pip: I haven't seen sam since
Merry: That's what I ment....Sam went with them
Pip *cries*: This is mean! They took Sam but not us?
Merry: I don't know if they took Sam with them but he is there right now....come on Pip! I got an idea!

Merry and Pippin sneak out unseen and silently follow the same route the others took before

Merry: We must hurry up if we want to find them
Pip: Not that fast Merry.......
Merry: Come on Pip! You want to come along with them don't you?
Pip: Yes
Merry: So come on then!
 
Meanwhile, the White Knight led his entourage home. Since Eric and Vanessa had decided to pass through Chess territory, it obviously _wasn't_ going to be a secret any longer that Alice was being made the New Queen of Hearts; so he needed to return and report.

As it turned out, the White Knight need not have been worried about his own Queen refusing to recognize Queen Alice as legitimate. Though the White Chess Queen had never spoken of this openly before, it had rankled her that the old Queen of Hearts cheated at croquet. She had even once toyed with the notion of seeking an alliance with Croquet Land to make war on the Hearts Kingdom over this very issue. So the only question she raised to her reporting knight was, "Does Alice cheat at croquet?"

"To the best of my knowledge and belief, Your Majesty, no, she doesn't."

"Then all's well. You may go," said the White Queen.

With official duties thus discharged, the White Knight went looking for Nessa and Eric, but could not at once find them. Some whom he questioned thought that the newlyweds had suspended their quest of the four crystals--rather, the three crystals, since The Grey Eagle had found one for them when he was searching for the Snow Queen's Skua-bird. According to the wife of one retired pawn, the pair had said something about wanting to visit the wicked Snow Queen, because she had turned good.

The Snow Queen at one point had sent monsters to capture the hockey couple, but this move had been thwarted by Lady Inkling of the Blue Kirtle, with the assistance of gunslinger brothers Emmett and Jake. In a turn of events even more bizarre than if it was true that Eric and Vanessa had forgotten about the crystals, the Snow Queen was reported by some in the Hearts Kingdom to have renounced evil, and to have departed Wonderland--in the daring hope of persuading Emmett the gunslinger to fall in love with her!

The thought of someone comparable to a noble knight ever wanting to marry an evil sorceress was hard to swallow, even for a native resident of Wonderland. Yet the rumor was that the Snow Queen had gone into exile hoping for exactly that outcome.

Alice woke with a start. She sat up, and looked around, somewhat startled by her surroundings, until she remembered what had happened the day before. As it was still rather early, the others were asleep, except for Peter, and she did not know where he was. She stood up and walked about, thinking and trying not to wake the others.
 
Eric and Nessa and the rabbit compliment Sam about his delicious meal when they see a lady coming their way. She is a white Chess lady who serves the Chess Queen.

Lady: Good morning to you! Are you enjoying your breakfast?
Me: It's delicious! Sam is such a great cook
Sam *blushes*: Actually Mr Bilbo taught me how to cook. he said the old Gaffer would be more proud at me than he already was
Lady: Well done young man! Well done!
Rabbit: Where are you going to my lady?
Lady: I'm going back to the Castle. My Queen sent me to get some mushrooms. We are going to enjoy our Croquet match soon against the Clubs
Me: Croquet? Are you going ot play Croquet?
Lady: Well...not me myself but our Queen loves Croquet as long as you don't cheat! And what about you?
Eric: We are on our way to Croquet Land to search for the crystals
Lady: Wait a minute......which of you is the married couple?
Eric *points at Nessa*: That's me and her
Lady: Someone was looking for you I believe it was the White Knight. have you seen him already?
Rabbit: No we don't but why is he looking for us?
Lady: I don't know exactly. But if he will come again can I tell him I saw you?
Me: Sure...no problem!

Before the lady walks off she asks one more question

Lady: Is it true you are going to visit the Snow Queen? Some say she turned even more evil after her defeat and is looking for this gunslinger to marry her and some say she has fled Snow Land because she failed.
Eric: I have no idea. We haven't seen her since we were saved when she captured us
Lady: I have to go now or the Chess Queen will get angry!
