Poems for fellow friends

A certain friend who shall be nameless
Wishes I would admire Tori Amos.
But Tori's too odd
With her false view of God;
To agree with Ms. Amos would shame us.

P.S. Tori Amos undeniably is stunningly beautiful to LOOK AT; but this only proves that appearances are misleading.

What fun! haha no, i certainly am not Derny:D
i drank from a cup? I think Slp would say i drank from a watering can haha
a journey? that is exciting *goes on journey*
thank you for the exciting limerick, toj :D

And there she is....sweet as sweet can be
No matter what everybody calls her because
She will always be the adorable Ferny to me ;)

Right one for Uncle Joe!

He says his name is CopperFox
His job to get rid of Fred teh Box
To some he's a 'dad'
a brand new internet 'fad'
But to me. he's an oldie with knowledge of worlds like Knox

Why, thank you, Orange! In order for your poem to be solemn truth, I must hurry over and post something on the "Fred The Box" thread!

I wrote this poem last night. It is not really for someone, but Nessa told me that I could post it here so I wouldn't have to open up another thread.

I sit here and reflect
On the things that once were
On the girl that once was me
But never again can I be her.

I look back on this past year
Memories come hard and fast
As I look back
Before I knew it, they were past.

The clock ticks out the minutes I have spent
Thinking on what has been
Still more will be spent
Thinking on what is to come.

Forgotten dreams push their way up
Clamoring to be remembered
Things that have been lost are found once more
Memories fly unhindered.

The Clock ticks on
Hours have passed me by
Reflections have come and gone
And still the clock ticks on.

This one is for one of my most dearest and valuable friends on TDL

White Knight (Poem for Jeff (Sir_Godfrey)

A silent Knight riding on a white Horse
Following his own road
His Heart is filled with the love for Jesus
To do as God told him is his main Goal

A very enthusiastic reader of books
And a very happy watcher of movies
He never rejects doing something
Unless he knows it doesn't make any sense

Games like Halo and Mario don't have secrets to him
Sharing his love for these games as he plays them
By changing his siggy and avy at the same time
And others love the games because of him

Our white Knight is on a mission
Just to be his pure self and not a copy
Of someone who is famous or rich
Because this white Knight doesn't care about that

When he likes an actress like Kirsten Dunst
He happily opens a topic about it
Making others curious and talk
About the actress all the time until the love fades

The white Knight has been into LOTR
Fantasy in general grabs him and holds him
He always notices God in the stories
And he explains everything to listeners

Aragorn, Strider or Elessar
The white Knight wants to be like him
But to me he is even far more better
Because he is our dear Sir_Godfrey

This poem is for Nessa. Hang in there!

She cries out, wanting to know why
She sees only darkness in the sky.
Hang in there, dear
Hope calls, do you hear?
No matter how dark the night,
We can trust that the dawn will be bright.
How would we ever know the morning
If we knew not the darkest night?
It's going to be alright.

A poem for the new year:

Another Year has come and gone
And all of the things that happened in it
Are lost forever into th abyss of time
As I in my thoughts sit.

Many times in the past year
I have despaired
Despaired of all Hope and cheer
Lost in gloom, with no light anywhere in sight.

But also in the past year,
I have seen happiness greater than any I have ever felt
Blotting out despair
Not matter how hard the rain decided to pelt.

And so I turn my face from old to new
And see a fresh new page
A new bit of slate, a turned over leaf
Not yet worn with age.

:D Thanks, Papa Joe. I think it turned out okay, considering the fact that I wrote it in about ten minutes.... But, It kinda reflects my thoughts and feeling at the moment....

Those are good words, dear Lonny. I hope that your current more-hopeful outlook on life contiunes. You are such a dear, sweet girl. May your 2009 be amazing! :D
