Poor Animals...

There's so much roadkill in my town now. i almost hit a deer a couple weeks ago but i was good and didnt' :D

i hate looking at sites liek this cause i always feel bad for the animals. one of my parrots used to have 2 previous owners and the first ones that had him when he was a baby used to abuse him so he hates people. we still can't hold him but he does kiss our fingers...

I can't stand it when I hear about animal abuse. It's like, why why why would someone do that to a creature that's helpless?! I guess the only answer is pretty simple: evil.

Here's one thing that bugs me. People who hit animals with their cars and never bother to stop at least ( unless you're in traffic or there's cars behind you and you can't slow or stop) and then don't bother to go back to move the thing to the side of the road. I once hit a raccoon and felt so awful...it just darted out in front of me and there was other cars. I went back there and when the road wasn't busy, wrapped the raccoon in a blanket and moved it to the side of the road. I just couldn't leave it there. I hate seeing roadkill!!!

That's sad!!! I can't turn around cause I don't have a car but I would too! It is an aweful sight!!!

Well but if you don't have a car you can't run them over :D . There seems to be an excess of dead wildlife around the major road where I live...lots of squirrels, and those big ground hog things.

IM, do you live in the country? Not to be direspectful, but to me that's a little comical. Where I live, you can't hardly go a mile or two without seeing something dead, ranging from a rabbit to a deer. Twice my brother got a dead deer from the road, and brought it home for our dogs, they loved it. We only have two, but bones are really good for canines.
So, it just seems a little odd...I dunno. People are diffrent, I tried to save a baby field bunny from our one dog, but the poor thing died of shock. I think I cried. I at least felt bad. Really bad. I wanted to keep it.
Where I live, killing a racoon is a good thing. They've eaten their share of our chickens.

Very sad

where i live all you see are mouisqouitos[dont know if i spelled that right]and stray dogs and cats, its really sad i try to help where ever and whenever I can.I live with a lot of animal bullys and it gets emmbarrasing trying to save ants[why kill them there only doing what we do every day, eat, work, gather food, nothing elegal].I have saved alot of animals,I dont like approching hem cause they get scared, and you should only approch an animal if it is yours, hurt,or in danger. Most of hte time i cry to see somthing die[dosnt matter what it is]:( :(

What's comical? Seeing dead raccoons? Or taking the time to wrap one up and pull it to the side of the road so it won't become road pizza? Unfortunately, we don't have chickens here, the majority of people I know buy them wrapped in packages in the grocery store...so I can't say killing a raccoon with a car is a good thing. Do you live in the middle of nowhere, FS? Because it sounds like you do.

No, I don't live in the country. I live in a city of 500,000 people, but it's near a big lake, a lot of mountains, desert and forest.

There's a lot of mosquitos LOL in my parents' backyard, because they have a big koi pond. But there's also those dragonfly larvae, which eat the mosquitos, which is a good thing:)

Where are you? Are you in the Southern or Midwestern USA?

Animal bullies=I would beat the c**p out of anyone whom I caught being cruel to an animal.

I saw a really, really scary insect a couple of days ago. It looked like a fish with wings, according to my Mum, but it flew so fast that we couldn't see it properly. Whatever it was... it's probably some kind of exotic insect which shouldn't be in my country.

Oh, and I can't stand animal cruelty. Smashing bugs is still okay with me (as long as you don't torture them by setting fire to them first  ) and roadkill is often not intentional either... but the rest of it is really bad. I can't stand cruelty to animals. They're pretty much defenseless and it's so bad that there are still so many killed because of their fur and everything.
