Prince Caspian: Ben Barnes & why is he so old?

If they found A boy from Madrid, I hope he has fair hair, because Caspian did, as the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Prince Caspian, and gasp* Silver Chair definitely says. all the the descriptions of Caspian and the Telmarines sounded like they were English Pirates.

I KNOW!!! A spanish person just wouldn't seem right! He was suppose to be blond!

Oh...as long as he's a good actor, I don't mind...but I'm still not inclined to believe that he's been cast, b/c you know how the media is...often unreliable.

And...even if he is from Madrid, that doesn't mean that he'll have dark hair and dark skin. When I passed thru the Madrid airport on my way to Rome this past summer, most of the people there are actually white. And on the plane (which was a Spanish airliner) there were a bunch of Spanish people on it, and I swear, I thought they were Americans (y'know, the blonde-blue-eyed sterotypical American sort of thing). That is...until they started speaking in Spanish. Some of them had blond-ish hair too. So...yeah...even if he's Spanish, he'll probably look nothing like everyone in America/Britain/etc. would expect him to. The majority of Spanish people do not look like Mexicans (if you get what I mean).

really i didnt know that. well that would be interesting to see. i believe that he has been casted

Yeah, well the majority of people don't know that. At least, the majority of Americans...I'm American, btw...I only know about American sterotypes of certain cultures.

*shakes fist at sitcoms* Seriously, the quality of sitcoms has really been deteriorating lately...at least in the U.S. it has. Everything that's on is just plain stupid, and they're ALL about the same exact thing...

Anyhoo...who do you think would be a good Miraz? Personally, I think Jeremy Irons would be great, even though he's a bit too old for the part.

I'm Spanish (besides Filipino and Puerto Rican I'm some Spanish)..I have dark skin and hair..I guess that's from Asia or some other parts Europe or something :/  I really don't know what Spanish people look like

If it's true, I hope it's a good actor. I mean they can probably dye is hair or something..if he doesn't look like how he's supposed to be in the books. I can't wait to find out who the actor is! :D

Sweet! ^_^ I thought Caspian was British too....oh well...isn't it supposed to come out in May 2008?
I think they'll start filming soon, right? When is that, anyways?

Nevertheless, can the boy speak with a British Accent, all those Characters who actually talked in the books spoke like the vernacular Britt of Lewis's time. They say Brittish sayings, all other things about them describe them as being Brittish. I was not saying that all hispanic people look like Carribean or Mexican people. I was saying that Caspian was supposed to be for a race of Brittish speaking pirates where red and blond hair were prevelant, and if you read the book the Pirates that became Telmarines were not even Carribean Pirates nor were many Spanish people in our history Pirates at all. The Island they hit was in the Pacific (Lewis said it in his book), that was prime Brittish or even American pirating territory.
