Prince Caspian: Ben Barnes & why is he so old?

I sure hope so. If he doesn't, then I'll probably...can't think of anything. If he doesn't, then I'll just hold it against myself, for not thinking he's good.
 
Narnia is the sort of film that you can't hate. Even if you dislike it, there's usually something in the film that is enjoyable. I hope hte same is right with Prince Caspian.

That's exactly how I feel: he's too old, but he has the part, and Adamson is a good director who knows what hes doing, so I am assuming Ben will do a brilliant job, and it will be a good movie.

I just wish someone younger had been cast ... :(

If Andrew didn't know he could do a good job, he would never have chosen him. I think I'm the only person who really doesn't care about the age limit of the actor.

I agree. Will looked like a younger as Peter. While watching TLWTW I forgot he was older me.
But makeup can't always hide a persons true age. They may look younger but not necessarily beyoung

maybe they'll completely change him like eddymurphy in Norbit:rolleyes:
 
guys half the reason that Adamson got Ben is cause he got him to play in three different movies:pC, VotDT, and SC.

In that case it's alrite, but secretly I reaaalllyyy wanted Caspian to be a young boy who had a nurse.:p

I'm sure they got somebody to play the younger Caspian. Though, when they're filming Dawn Treader and Chair, Ben will be NEARLY 30!! Come on, people: It's King Caspian, not king oldy!
 
They may end up having someone younger play that part cause the book does clearly state that at least a few years past under doctor Cornelious's tutilage before Pruniprismia had her son. at silver chair he will need to be older, my gosh. and they are supposed to start filming Dawn treader right after filming for Caspian stops, that is later on this year.

I think he will do a smashing job in VTD but I am just having a hard time picturing him in PC. I am sure he will do a good job but I am having a hard time getting my mind around that one. Andrew is a GREAT director but I am a turist and a purist to the books so I have a hard time wiht somet hind in the first ne I just really want to like this next one and it might be hard if Caspian is older.
 
I think they proved with LLW that, even if we can't picture it that way, it turns out great! And I'm sure that PC will turn out the same way.

I agree.

I had not thought about their having someone younger play the boy Caspian, and then maybe they can make Ben up to look 17 or so instead of 26 when the action starts with his fleeing the castle... I hope!

Ben Barnes is Caspian, and he is the only Caspian.
