Prince Caspian Movie 2008

The books are unclear on the age jumps, but the implication is that it's about a year (our time) between Lion, Caspian, and Dawn Treader. I think it explicitly says so in Caspian, and at the start of Treader, it's just the start of the "hols", implying that it's a school year after Caspian. So, about a three year span.

does anyone know how long it is between SC and LB? That would decide how old the kids would be in each. Because in LB the only ones in school are Eustace and Jill and its their last year. So if Lucy is one year older than Eustace and Edmund a year older than her, they would be at least 19 and 20, so since Susan and Peter are what 3-4 years older than Edmund, they would be at least 23-24. Which gives Disney a good 5-6 years of time to film before even the actors are too old for their characters. I know its a year between LWW and PC and another year between PC and VDT and 4 months between VDT and SC. I was just trying to figure out how long it is between SC and LB because that would tell us when the kids will be too old. Although from the way I see it, they never will be.

I hope that the movie will be filmed in NZ again because I live in new Zealand!!

It is mainly these first few years that matter because it is hard making a 16 year old look like a 12 year old. It is much easier making a 20-something year old look like a teenager (which happens a lot).

That's a good question, but I don't think there's any clue in the narrative. My guess is that it would have been no more than a year or two, since Eustace and Jill were still young enough to go to Narnia (though special rules may have applied, since it was their "final visit").

I Luv The Movie!!!

hi EVEYONE!!! yeah so ever since LWW MOVIE CAME OUT I'VE LIKE SEEN IT A BILLION TIMES. THEY BETTER START AUDITIONS,SOON.

I don't know. I think they could make Will and Anna work. You can use make up and other stuff to make people appear younger. And don't the children age a year between LWW and PC anyway?

you know I'm not sure how long it is between SC and LB, but I figure 2-3 years max. Which means that Lucy is 19 in LB. So in LWW which was 4 1/2-5 1/2 years ago, Lucy would have already been 14. Even if you give the full 7 years that some sites say was the length between SC and LB, Lucy is still 10 years old which makes Edmund 11, Susan 14 and Peter 15 in LWW. So by the time LB gets made even with that full 9 1/2 years between LWW and LB, the kids should be Peter-24, Susan 23, Edmund 20, and Lucy 19. That gives even Anna and William and Edmund 6 years to get the films done. And trust me I know plenty of 27 year olds who look 22 so by that time a few extra years won't hurt. And that 7 years isn't definite. I personally believe it was less time because it would seem like more than just Susan would have given up on Narnia. So, the kids could have been even older.
Sorry this is so long, but from what I can tell the actors will fit their parts just fine.

one person found a site that said 7 years but I wasn't sure. Even with that long all the actors have at least 6 years before they are even one year older than their characters. If its only a couple years than some of them are already too young. lol
