Rangers of the Dancing Lawn!

Twilight checked to make sure all her weapons were in place, and then grabbed a rope and began to rappel (Sp?) down the cliff. She passed Machia on the way down, he was trying to slide down with one hand and dig an apple out of his pocked with the other. She rolled her eyes and slid down farther till she saw the Captain.

"Ahoy there Capn'. Once we get to the bottom of these cliffs I'll be off to find the dwarves camp and hopefully get the rest of the Narnians to help us out. But I've been thinkin... The last time I was here... I wasn't exactly in me right mind. And I'm thinkin that the Narnians may have a hard time trustin me after the stuff I did when the ring controlled me. Do ye think ye could spare another pirate or Ranger to help me talk them around, just to prove that I'm not evil Twilight on another evil rampage. And don't even bother tellin me I should go weaponless to convince them that I've changed. Not even the wizard'd be that stupid. And Evil Twilight and I had the one thing in common, we both knew the value of bein' well armed."

Twilight gave the Captain a swift grin as they both hit the ground. Machia came down beside them, with slightly more of a bump, probably due to the fact that he was trying to let himself down with his apple free hand.

"So... any volunteers fer this mission?"

ooc: Thanks SLP, I love your Barlow Girl and Superchick banners. They are the best bands!! I just heard that new Superchick song. And Elendil, Boromir's imaginary phone?!! That's great.

IOWW overheard Twilight talkign to the captain.
"Arr...i volunteer, Twilight..." IOWW told her.
 
Aye, that be true. I suppose ye can take a pick of any of the pirates. Ye'll 'ave to ask permission to Elindil to take on of her Rangers. But its best that ye do. Right now, they be 'avin' more trust in the Rangers than us pirates! I swear I saw a chipmunk run away from us on the way here..."

The Captain looked around and saw the state of the Rangers camp. it was dark, the tents were dirty and had holes in them, and they barely had any resources to cook food. Just a pot and a large spoon. At least that was the only object Fyn pulled out of the empty pot. She saw a Ranger in the center or the Camp trying to start a fire. Elindil on the other hand went inside a cave that was behind their camp. "When all of you are done getting settled, I will need to meet with the leaders and the Pirates who will be going on that mission," she said.

"Aye, I'll let them know," the captain replied. She walked over to where the Ranger was trying to start a fire, and knelt down next to him. "Here I will help ye with that she said...Fish can ye hand me some oil?"

Not much except we have been talking about how we feel about the battle and we just finished arriving at the Ranger's camp.

You can read the last two pages to see what we are up to.

Also, were you going with Fyn to that mission? :confused:
 
Torrey walked around the camp....she was getting impatiant for the mission...and wished it would happen faster.She went to QA(urm...is that your name on here? :eek: )and asked if she could do anything"I need something to keep me busy"

"Aye, go and tell Fyn and whoever is going with ye to the mission to pack their bags and meet us over there inside that cave. We'll be sending ye shortly. Hope yer prepared!" the captain said.

She went away wondering where the rest of the FF were.
 
Kyn finally found the Rangers camp. He ran towards them, smiling, but then froze in pain. He looked down. A ranger shot him in the heart, mistaking him for an orc. He fell to his knees, and everything went blurry. He fell face first in dirt, as it began to rain.

OOC-Good-bye everyone... I'm leaving TDL now.

ic: "All righty Capn. I'll see if I can grab a Ranger and be on my way. After...." Twilight glanced at the old stew encrusted cauldron and raised her eyebrow, "Dinner? If ye could call it that.... It's a good thing we brought those rations, I'll tell ye that! I thought the Rangers were hunters? Aren't there some dumb animals in these woods?"

ic: Twilight went over to him and picked him up out of the mud. She sighed as she realized that there was nothing to be done.
"Aslan be with ye wherever ye go... Rest in peace Kyn." She gritted her teeth and her mouth twisted in pain and torment when she thought that this could very well have been her if she hadn't listened to Aslan and broke out from under the wizard's enchantment. Unable to go back to who she was, she would have been a lost soul, and probably come to a tragic end like Kyn.
"Arr, we weren't all that different in some ways. I guess we'll all see each other again someday in Aslan's country." The pirates and Ranger bowed their heads in sorrow and bore Kyn away for his burial.

ooc- Alright guys, I wont be here this weekend as I have a college showcase Tournament in California. So...I hope the battle wont happen while I'm gone, but, Tiff has said that there's still quite a bit to do until then. So, wish me luck! And be safe, all of you! :)

Twilight went over and put her arm around Lucy's shoulders to turn her away from the silent body.
"It'll be all right Lucy, it'll be all right.... We'll get through it."

ooc: Bye IOWW, God bless! I also probably wont be on much or at all this weekend. I have a very important paper to write, and a big church event to do. So don't burn the ship down while I'm gone! If things start moving, you can say Twilight went to talk to the dwarves to stop the burning of the forests, along with IOWW and another unidentified Ranger, which is what I'll write about if I get online anyway.
